"Very good hotel close to North London attractions"
Aubrey Park is a good hotel, the only exception is they do not have air conditioning. We had two uncomfortable nights feeling rather warm, with only a desk fan to help circulate some air. Shame, as our room was very good otherwise.

Good location in quiet residential area convenient to city centre. Comfortable en-suite room a little on the small side but with all facilities. Room in good condition probably recently refitted. Small shower room. Very good breakfast choice and attentive service. Excellent restaurant with extensive menu choice.
Hotel easy to find and conveniently placed for major rooads, motorways and getting into St Albans Itself. Room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We used the gym and swimming pool on an evening and the staff in the leisure area were great. In fact all the staff were polite and courteous and were happy to assist wherever possible without being intrusive. Great place and would recommend as a base from which to explore St Albans and surround area

The hotel had character and was very busy when we arrived in the late afternoon. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was very tasty. We chose the hotel as it was close to the cathedral where we were attending an ordination ceremony the following day.
The only drawback was the noise from people walking through the passage way which linked one part of the town with another. And this continued well into the early hours. As it was a very hot night we had to have our bedroom window open and this meant that we weren't able to get much sleep.
The city of St Albans, 22 miles north of London, was known as Verulamium in Roman times and was the second largest Roman settlement in Britain. Visitors can learn more about the Roman town at the Verulamium museum, while the Museum of St Albans focuses on more recent history. The clock tower is the oldest medieval belfry in Britain, and the cathedral was a well-worn stop on the Pilgrim Trail.
