“One of top two spots in town”

Really nice hotel. Great bed and cool view of the river. My biggest problem is the ridiculous charge for internet service.

“underwhelmed”

The best thing about the hotel was the quality of the bed linens. The pool was pretty nice. Otherwise, it was a bit dowdy and confusing in its layout. And the parking garage service was poor.

“A highlight of the trip”

Everything was perfect but we particularly appreciated the staff in the hotel restaurant, who were attentive yet not pushy. The room was great, beds were comfortable, air was a little dry (but always is in hotels), and everything looked well maintained. The staff were competent, pleasant, and seemed genuinely happy to be of service. Five stars all around!

Getting around
The hotel has an indoor car park. If your vehicle is over 6'-6" the hotel also has an indoor parking arrangement one block north. Nice!
Dining
We enjoyed talking to the bartender at the hotel on Friday night and were pleased to find a local brew on tap. We enjoyed the experience so much that when we needed a place to eat Saturday night we decided to stay put in the hotel. It was the best meal of the trip - by far!

“Would definately stay there again. Easy Access to surroundings!”

I would definately recommend the hotel to others. Everything was great. The only thing I would complain at all about was the charge for internet service in my room and the parking deck was very low clearance. Very small compared to the great room and service.

“bad experience”

Air conditioning broke down twice and all hey could do is reset system then tried to offer a refund on the nickelodian pkg that we didn't pay for to begin with. In other words nothing was done to compensate my family for our troubles. We stayed at this hotel many times in past but will stay at Clarion Hotel across street instead.

“Good for the area but wouldnt go back.”

My husband is a Marriott Member and uses them for business, so we often stay at them for pleasure trips as well. Out of all of our stays, I would have to say this particular Marriott is ranking with the lowest of them all. The basic anemities are there- nice lobby, nice room. However, the rooms are shoeboxes. We were given two double beds instead of a king. The rooms are decorated in a Marriott style, but nothing to brag about. (Cat in the Hat painting?) The pool area is dingy, with multiple bugs floating around in the hot tub. Service at breakfast was the worst. We were overcharged and underserved. I had to stand at the bar waiting for a cup of coffee for over ten minutes before I had to walk behind and grab a cup for myself. Parking is not included, even though it's one of the most expensive hotels in the area, and have their own garage.

“Family reunioon site”

We met our family there and enjoyed an evening and mornilng with them. It was cold and we stayed right at the hotel. We had a drink at the bar while they were at a pracative session and found her to be very friendly and helped make our waiting a plesant experience. Our dinner and breakfast were great. A most plesant visit.

Area recommendations
Basketball Hall of Fame. Was really fun. My husband is a sports nut and really enjoyed it but then so did I and our daught-in-law and grandson. Have recommended to other members of our family already.

“Berlin and Jackie”

When we're in town we always stay at the Marriot. Location is central to everything; resturants, clubs, Basketball Hall of fame, entertainment etc. The beds are so comfortable, feels like home.

Downtown is full with resturants, clubs and entertainmenmt.
