“One of the best hotels Springfield has to offer”

I have stayed at several hotels over the last 15 years in Springfield and this is definitely in the top three. While not located downtown, it is still conveniently located off of I-55. It is clean and quiet I will stay here again on my next trip.

“Great for the Price”

This hotel was just fine, especially for the price. We spent a weekend in Springfield and really just spent a short time there. It was clean, and yes, I did pull the sheets off and checked for bedbugs! The beds were comfortable. It was a little drive away from the historic area but not hard to find. There were plenty of food options close by for dinner and breakfast. I would return there.

Area recommendations
Springfield is all about Lincoln and does the job very well. Do go to his home, and the museum. They are excellent. Our biggest surprise was the Frank Lloyd Wright house , called the Dana-Thomas House. It is incredible. Absolutely do not miss it!

“Super soft towels!”

Our family stayed here one night during our road trip in Sept 2010. We were very pleased. Very nice beds and super soft towels!

“Home away from home”

Very clean and convenient. Nice place to stay when you want the comforts of home but need to be away.

“Nice hotel”

The Candlewood Suites in Springfield, Illinois was a very nice hotel for a short get-away weekend. We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and all of the amenities.

“Great deal!”

Very impressed. I overheard one of the guests telling another that the hotel had only been open two weeks. So, everything was brand new - and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Everything about the hotel was very nice. I have been in nicer hotels, but the cost was about 3 times as much a night.
