Great stay!

Worth the money for sure! Parking isn't that great and costs extra which seems unnecessary since you pay quite a bit for the room already....

Most comfortable bed of any place I have ever stayed and the shower had incredible water pressure. Used valet parking because the parking garage was about a block away and valet was only $5.00 more than the self parking.

Hotel Lusso - Comfort and Finery in One

Posted 10-Aug-2014
Pros: The hotel was clean, well kept, updated in look and feel and the staff was very engaging and helpful.
Cons: We would recommend they consider new mattresses - at least for the rooms we had as they were not of a quality that matched the rest of the hotel.
Location: Great location in the downtown core close to shopping; within easy walking distance of the beautiful park built on the site of the 1974 World Fair.
Hotel Lusso was a wonderful hotel and we enjoyed our time there very much. Located in the downtown core it was convenient to all the great areas of the city. The hotel was lovely, updated and well kept. Our one suggestion would be to improve their mattresses, since they were very soft and the only part of the experience that was not at the level of complete excellence.

Pros: Walking distance to most downtown activities
Cons: In room coffee maker, more breakfast options
Location: Restaurants, wineries, shopping mall, theaters, park and trails
Very pleasant! The staff is friendly and accommodating The rooms are comfortable and quiet, we did not hear anyone in the hallway or adjoining rooms. Nice location to walk to most shops and restaurants.

Becoming less boutique and more standard

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: service, comfortable beds, quiet, reasonably priced
Cons: the rooms need to be cared for better
I used to love hotel lusso as my "davenport alternative" less busy, a bit less formal and still the comfortable bed and nice size room. It seems however that the rooms are aging and they aren't doing much about it. My bathroom, for example, had brown stains and drips on the wallpaper and on the tile. After asking housekeeping to come wash it off (much of it was permanent staining) we determined it must be wallpaper glue that just deteriorated with age. but it was noticeable in large patches on the wall. The lighting is terrible in the rooms, with no light in the very dark closet...and lastly...I abhor the liquid soap dispenser at the sink. I find it very tacky. In the shower it makes total sense but I am not a fan of it at the sink. the front desk service is very good, valet is reliable, morning coffee and cake is a real treat and the beds are the most comfortable. I like the hotel well enough, but feel they are losing their edge if they won't do general maintenance.

Never again- Disappointing experience

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: In-room dining, better mattresses.
I've stayed at this hotel once about 5 years ago, this recent experience was not good. I made the reservation on Expedia and pre-paid for the room. When I arrived I asked if they actually had a king size bed we could upgrade to and they were not able to accommodate- fair enough. They put us in room 242 which was the wheelchair accessible room. My only complaint on this was the shower rod was low so a little inconvenienced there. The main issues I had with this room was the window, or lack of gave no real light. There were two lightbulbs burned out in the room when we arrived, only one got fixed after I requested both be fixed. The hotel also does not have any in-room dining. You have to go out for everything and sometimes you just want to stay in your bathrobe. The mattress on the bed was also very uncomfortable and worn to the point that we rolled into each other all night. Part of me wonders is Hotel Lusso is giving Expedia customers the worse possible rooms in the hotel.

Thank you for your constructive feedback of our hotel. We appreciate you pointing out the errors regarding the spelling. These have been sent to our marketing team to correct, just this morning. As one of the highest rated hotels on Expedia in Spokane, please know your experience is not typical. We do value your opinion and it will surely be shared with management. Regarding the rate for Hoopfest weekend, we believe this to be a value, as the majority of the hotels in the downtown area start in upwards of $300+ per night, and have the same policies as we do. The reason for this is that it is the busiest weekend of the year in Spokane. Demand for hotel rooms in Spokane far exceeds the supply for this particular weekend. Furthermore, we feel that for this weekend, we provide a fair value. Thank you again for your constructive feedback. Kind Regards ~

Best hotel in Spokane

Posted 07-Jun-2014
Pros: The room smelled great and the bed was fantastic.
Cons: The hallways are a little dark, but really that's just a nit.
Location: Downtown Spokane, so it's close to Gonzaga and everything downtown.
Hotel Lusso is a gem! The hotel is very clean. The staff is exceptional. The beds are wonderful. The bathrooms are nicer than my bathroom at home with L'Occitane product on tap. Love that stuff! Overall a great little hotel. Oh, and don't forget the coffee and coffee cake in the morning!
