“Friendly and clean”

Wonderful warm welcome. The room was small but comfortable. I enjoyed have the small kitchen to prepare breakfast. Nice central location.

“Wonderful place and perfect location”

Would definitely go back here. It is in the perfect location in Split - very near everything (within a few minutes walk), but far enough away from the club music to get some peace and quiet! A lovely rustic feel and very friendly staff. We cannot recommend this place enough...

“Great location”

Hotel is in a great location, out of the way, but near the attractions. We had a good sized room, with a cooker hob, fridge/freezer, sofa and table and two chairs. the bedroom was a decent size too. The staff were very friendly and always keen to help. Overall a great stay.

“Fabulous little hotel in a great location”

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast basket was delivered on time every morning and varied from day to day. I couldn't fault the hotel in any way and my only disappointment was that we packed so much into our short break that we missed dining in the hotel restaurant. Will therefore have to return sometime to sample it. I'd definitely recommend this accommodation and Split, which is also delightful.

“Great location and friendly service”

My mom and I stayed here for 2 nights recently and thoroughly enjoyed it! The hotel was in a great location in the center of Split that wasn't as noisy as other parts. It's an easy walk to the train and bus stations, too. The staff was so helpful and friendly and delivered delicious breakfasts to us in the morning.

“At the center of Split”

Villa Matejuska was very close to the Riva and Diocletian's Palace, the main attractions in Split - very easy and pleasant walk. Our room was at the top and was recently remodeled and had a kitchenette and all modern conveniences. A little market was near and a little cafe just around the corner. The manager welcomed us and was extremely helpful and considerate. We had a wonderful stay there!

If you're looking for opulence, the Villa Matejuska is probably not for you. However, if you are looking for a nice, clean, comfortable room with an excellent location and an accomodating staff, this place is worth your consideration. I communicated with the hotel prior to my arrival regarding transportation from the car rental company where we were dropping off our rental car. I received a quick email response to inform me that the Villa Matejuska was a mere 20 meters from the car rental company. The room was air conditioned (not true of every place we stayed in Croatia) and had both cable and wi-fi internet connections. Breakfast was served in a small restaurant immediately adjacent to the hotel. All in all, this we had a good stay and I would certainly stay there again were I ever to return to Split.

“Hidden Gem”

My husband and I stayed here on what was our first trip to Croatia. The city was wonderful and the hotel was ideally located to see all the sights. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The staff were very polite and helpful, especially the lovely young lady. The only negative was the crazy guy in the kitchen, we missed breakfast some days to avoid him. Great hotel, perfect location - but get rid of the crazy guy!!!

“Good location, good service, good breakfast”

We spent 3 days in the hotel. We were close to the beach, the room was always clean and the breakfast was also good. The A/C could be a little colder, but still, the room was very confortable and clean. I would go back there!
