This hotel was useful as it has free parking very close to the centre of Split. The room was clean and the reception staff were very helpful. You can walk everywhere you need to from the hotel and there are some good dinner/ ice cream options close by.

Think about someplace else.
Hotel is old and needs updating. If you like hot showers and there’s more than one of you, you’d better make it quick. Breakfast leaves much to be desired. Staff is nice though. The walk to the Old town is about 10 minutes. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Enjoyable
Gordana and her sister were welcoming, spoke fairly good English and gave us good advice on how to navigate around the city. Yes there are a lot of steps but this is to be expected unless you are willing to pay for a beachfront hotel. A good deal all in all.

This hotel is a little tricky to find, but once you get to know the area it's quite close to everything. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was fine(instant coffee) but a nice little room for breakfast. I would say the room was Spartan but very clean. The staff showed us another way to the old town through a park with great views of the old town.

Staff was friendly. The room was ok, although I already came in with low expectations. The fridge wasn't working. Location was not very nice, but it was a short wal away from both, the old town and a nice park where Bebe beach was at.

Quiet relaxing accommodation
This is a family run local hotel. A bit difficult to find as it sits back off the road. The hotel is in a quiet residential area and very convenient to the Old Town, Split football stadium, parks, shops and cafés. Though a bit tired inside the hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms are a good size,. The continental breakfast is basic but good. I would recommend this hotel for a no frills good holiday accommodation. I hope to return ASAP as there is so much to see and do in Split and this is the perfect base.

Do not trust this place
First I will start with the positive aspects: 1) It is an easy 10-15 minute walk into the old town 2) parking is good and available 3) The wi-fi was reliable 4) It was VERY clean The brochure and photos from this place do not represent it well. We had a balcony, but the railing was rusted, there were 2 chairs, one was totally demolished and the other was just held together. Had I sat in the one chair it would have fallen apart. The room is basic, ULTRA basic. Had no hot water the first morning as it was turned off, next morning no problem. The breakfast is very basic, not good at all. You do get some bread ham and cheese, but they put out such a small plate of the ham and cheese and it is NOT frequently replenished. No real coffee, only a jar of instant, and no real fruit juice, only a drink blend. We confirmed reservation via hotels.com, it stated with breakfast, but they said no it did not and wanted to charge us extra for it. The man on duty (owner maybe?) finally agreed to let it go. When I went to pay, everything said they accepted credit cards and I swear I saw the credit card machine on the desk, but he denied it saying "only cash." I would not stay here again. The only reason we selected it in the first place was because of the parking, and for that indeed it did work out well. However, I'm confident there are better places in Split, try another one.

Hidden value - highly recommended
We stayed at Villa Marjela for 3 nights in May 2010. It is a small hotel in the suburbs between the Hayduk Stadium and the old town - which is a pleasant 10 min walk away. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable even though furnishings are slightly spartan. The breakfast was continental style - meats, cheese, boiled egg and bread - but all nice and fresh - and plenty of it. The hotel has really friendly & helpful staff . They provided directions etc and also pointed out good local restaurants away from the tourist areas that were mainly frequented by locals. (We loved the seafood restaurant on the marina - a very pleasant 5 - 10 mins walk from the hotel - where you can watch the "catch of the day" and "daily specials" being delivered at the quay side) It can be difficult to find the first time - particularly if arriving by car - so email when booking and get directions. Even the sat nav only took us within 200m and we could not see it. But the friendly locals pointed it out to us - without laughing!! The hotel is set amongst the old communist style apartment towers so the neighborhood does not look all that flash - however, everyone we met in the area were welcoming, friendly and helpful even at the local shop. The hotel can be hard to find if arriving by car - so email for clear directions - even the sat nav only got us within 200 metres and we had to ask locals where it was hidden. A great place to stay in Split, very good value & we would stay there again!

Villa Marjela In the Worst Part of Split
Could not find the hotel, but was told by a hotel owner in the area that it was in the worst part of town and that he had never heard of it. They had to look it up on Google Maps and still we couldn't find it. I want a complete refund and suggest you take this hotel off your offered list of hotels in Split.

Nice and clean hotel about 15 minute walk to the center. Very difficult to find. Our cab driver circled for 15 minutes till he found it and after dark comming back from the center we got pretty lost. These guys need a sign!

Friendly family-run hotel limited by beaurocracy of authorities: not enough breakfast tables for no. of rooms, not allowed to extend. Minibar/fridge in room a real boon in hot city. Would recommend this hotel for handy location - easy walking to old town/seafront

시내에서 버스로 15분 거리이며, 주변 경관이 좋고, 마트는 버스 한 정거장 거리. 커다란 개가 두 마리 있는데, 훈련이 잘 되어 있고 온순함. 옆 방의 소리가 들리고, 샤워 부스의 물이 잘 안내려 갈 정도로 관리가 소홀하고, 관리자가 상주하지 않아서 비상시 대응이 어려울 수 있음.

Hôtel correct, chambre propre. Toutefois, bien que l’hotel soit situé à 15min à pied du centre ville, le quartier n’est pas super. L’hôtel est situé dans la banlieue de Split.

Hotel vicino al centro (10 minuti a piedi) ma posizionato in un contesto apparentemente poco raccomandabile. Mancanza di asciugacapelli e frigorifero nonostante fosse indicato tra i servizi della camera. Sifone lavandino intasato da cumulo di capelli che rendevano difficoltosa la discesa dell'acqua. Muri della camera con segni e grandi rattoppi fatti con nastro adesivo americano. Nel complesso la camera in stato di abbandono, per niente curata. Condizionatore presente e funzionante anche se rumoroso, personale gentile. Se non fosse per la vicinanza al centro, ci si chiede come possa avere 3 stelle

Goedkoop hotel zonder comfort
Villa gelegen tussen hoge aftandse woonblokken in achterbuurt. Ver verwijderd (20 minuten wandelen door onveilig aanvoelende omgeving) van oude stad. Kamer voldeed niet aan beschrijving: 12m2 ipv 20m2 (geen plaats voor valies), geen minibar, geen flatscreen, geen desk. Eenvoudig ontbijt.

Godt og billigt men ikke spændende
Vi overnattede en nat og i den sammenhæng bød hotellet på et udmærket ophold, når pris og beliggenhed og vores forventning samles. Opholdet var billigt og havde mulighed for parkering og med morgenmad. Morgenmaden var ikke spændende. Værelset havde ikke udsigt. Alligevel fungerede det og hotellet i forhold en enkelt overnatning.

Bon rapport qualité prix pour cet hotel où il ne faut pas aller pour la vue mais pour sa proximité avec un centre ville bondé et beaucoup plus cher. Personnel disponible et très agréable. Notre chambre et je pense l'hôtel entier ont été rénovés récemment

A localização não é tão ruim, da para ir tranquilamente a pé até a old town. O quarto não estava sujo, mas os colchões eram ruins, o chuveiro estava quebrado, o frigobar estava vazio e não estava funcionando. A internet era péssima. As recepcionistas não sabem dar informações, se precisar de alguma coisa, procure sozinho.

Un colpo di fortuna!
Abbiamo trovato Villa Marjela molto carina anche se poco segnalata sulla strada, ed abbiamo avuto la "fortuna" di non trovare la camera a tre letti che avevamo prenotato, quindi ci è stato proposto allo stesso prezzo un bellissimo appartamento in un palazzo adiacente, con 3 camere, sala, cucina ed una vista sul mare mozzafiato! Una vera fortuna per la nostra notte a Spalato. Abbiamo raggiunto a piedi la città vecchia che è veramente una Meraviglia!

Leuk als tussenstop, niet voor langer verblijf.
Kamer was echt mini om er 3 nachten door te brengen met 3 personen. Kapotte douchestang, lekker douchen was er dus niet bij. We moesten na 3 dagen/2 nachten zelf om toiletpapier en verse handdoeken vragen. De airco deed het wel heel goed. Zeer hartelijke mensen bij ontvangst, nette inkomhal.

Henkilökunta oli avuliasta. He etsivät meille lautta-aikataulut valmiiksi. Huone oli kurjahko, kun kengänjälkiä seinät täynnä ja ikkuna katonrajassa, mutta kävihän siellä nukkumassa. Aamupala ok.

Bon emplacement pour visiter Split
Un peu difficile à trouver, les signalisations sont pourtant bien présentes, entouré d'immeubles pas très engageants, une fois arrivés, la résidence est en bon état, les chambres en accord avec la gamme de prix, le petit déjeuner bien. Le meilleur ont été l'accueil et les conseils pour profiter de Split. Pour trouver plus facilement, prenez le chemin en face du magasin Lidl

Hotel in ottima posizione per un soggiorno breve
Albergo in buona posizione, vicino al centro raggiungibile a piedi in 10 minuti, con parcheggio gratuito e silenzioso, dotato di aria condizionata e molto pulito. Possibilità di fare la prima colazione, che consiglio, nella saletta a fianco, con possibilità di scelta tra dolce e salato e molto tranquilla. Ottimo per chi viene dall'autostrada perchè vi si arriva prima di raggiungere il centro, si può fare la doccia ed uscire tranquillamente a piedi, senza preoccupazioni di spostare la macchina e cercare parcheggio, cosa non facile a Split!

Awful hotel in a bad area. Altough Split is small enough to just walk away. The beds were just made each day, they didnt change sheets or towels... The breakfast was absolutely non-existent. In the beginning of the week they bought some cheap bread and yoghurts but as the days passed they didnt refill.

Hotellet låg 10 min från centrum och ungefär 15 min från hamnen till fots. Väldigt bra service från personalen både en ordentlig Vägbeskrivning till stranden och stan. Sen när vi hade svårt att få tag på taxi på morgonen till flygplatsen erbjöd en i personalen att köra i hans privata bil.Topp klass på servicen. Området var lite nergånget.
