“Highly recommend for the price”

I know a lot of reviews of Pharos Bayhill Hotel haven't been that great, so I was pleasantly surprised after our week there - the music from the nearby club only wasn't that loud, the condition of the rooms was fine for 2 star, the whole hotel was nice and clean, the breakfast was great (I'm always happy with bread, meat, cheese and eggs) and the staff were also helpful. On our check out the reception staff organised a free transfer down to the ferry and also gave us a packed lunch. For the cost of the room we were very happy (although I probably shouldn't mention the snake my partner found under the bed when we were checking out...)

“Pharos Hvar Bayhill Hotel, prima hotel, goed gelegen!”

Het Pharos hotel in Hvar is een prima hotel, goede prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding. Het ontbijtbuffet was goed, maar eenvoudig, weinig variatie. Het hotel heeft meerder gebouwen. Wij zaten in gebouw "Akacija". Kamer 195 heeft een prachtig uitzicht op de zee. De kamer was netjes en schoon, wel gedateerd, badkamer prima, alleen de matrassen waren helaas waardeloos (versleten). De locatie het hotel is goed, binnen een paar minuten (stijl naar beneden middels trap) ben je in het centrum van Hvar. Je zit ver genoeg weg van de feestgeluiden. Last but not least: "Elke dag schone handdoeken!"

Area recommendations
Aanrader om te verblijven is toch zeker Hvar. Gezellig havenstadje met ruim voldoende vertier.
What to pack
In de koffer moeten zeker: "waterschoentjes". Is zeker een must op het eiland Hvar. Je kan prima zwemmen of snorkelen, maar waterschoentjes zijn echt noodzakelijk i.v.m. stenen en rotsen.
Dining
Op het plein bij de haven kan je prima en voor een goede prijs eten en drinken. Wij hebben vaak gegeten bij Ex Rocco. Een heerlijke Italiaan met leuk personeel. De prijzen voor het eten gaan omhoog als je de trappen opgaat richting het Spaanse Fort, het is ook zeker wel wat exclusiever.

“HVAR, Pharos, une boîte de nuit à ciel ouvert!”

cet hotel Pharos est bien situé et facile d'accès en venant du ferry. Il demanderait qq efforts de rénovation mais la proximité d'une boite de nuit en plein air (veneranda) qui plus est avec un niveau sonore très élevé rend le séjour peu agréable car on ne peut pas dormir. Sinon, il faut souffrir de la chaleur en gardant la fenêtre fermée car il n'y a pas de clim! il faudrait vraiment que l'hotel demande à baisser le son à cette boite pour garder ses clients.
