“Beach nearby”

We stayed here in September 2011 and really enjoyed it. There are nice beaches a short walk away and a handy small shop nearby with larger supermarkets on the way into town. It is a quiet residential area within easy walking distance ( 20 minutes ) of Split centre and not far from a large wooded parkland leading to beaches and recreation areas. Also nearby are two museums. Joseph was very helpful meeting us when we arrived and showed us around the immediate area. He also booked a taxi for us to the airport when leaving.The accommodation is a large one roomed apartment with lounge, fully equipped kitchen and sleeping area and separate bathroom. The only problem we had was a slow draining shower basin. There's a lot to see in the area including the roman palace and remains of the roman city. We recommend visiting the islands by the many ferries and the local buses are reliable and cheap. Lots of good restaurants with reasonable prices and variety in and around the city centre.

The harbour,promenade and roman palace area because a lot of the information, restaurants and attractions are there.

“Nettes Hotel in Split unmittelbar am Strand”

Wie gesagt, das Apartment liegt in einem normalen Wohnhaus in direkter Nähe des Strandes in Split. Dieser ist recht schön und für ein wenig Abwechslung vom Stadtleben und zur Abkühlung sehr hilfreich. Am Strand gibt es zudem eine nette Beachbar. Leider ist es zur Altstadt in Split relativ weit zu Fuß. Man läuft ungefähr 30 Minuten, ein wenig Weg kann man auch durch den Bus abkürzen. Das Apartment selber liegt im Souterrain. Das ist jedoch überhaupt nicht schlimm, es kommt genügend Licht herein. Das einzige, was man somit nicht hat, ist ein Balkon. Man kann jedoch vor dem Haus sitzen. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet, der Besitzer füllt den Schrank sogar mit "basics" auf, falls man nicht direkt zum Supermarkt geht. Ein kleiner befindet sich jedoch direkt um die Ecke. Auch das Bett und das Bad zeigten gar keine Mängel. Wir waren für unsere 3 Tage in Split super zufrieden.

Area recommendations
Wer mal etwas anderes als die Stadt sehen möchte, der sollte unbedingt einen Ausflug auf eine der vorgelagerten Inseln machen. Die Fährverbindungen sind sehr gut und überhaupt nicht teuer.
