Overall, we had a frustrating stay at the hotel as we didn’t the experience that was promoted.
This is how the site we booked on promotes Hotel Split ‘…grab a bite to eat at L'Aroma restaurant, which serves Mediterranean cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A rooftop terrace, a bar/lounge and a fitness centre are other highlights at this upmarket hotel.’
The L’Aroma restaurant was closed so breakfast was served in a room with a view of the car park, and food was available from 3pm from the Lobby bar – which to be fair has a great view of the sea. The pool wasn’t also wasn’t open, although other hotels nearby did have their pools open. I know it was early in the season but we only found that these facilities were not available out when we got there. I would have expected to be told before we got there.
We booked a Superior Double Room with a sea view and Terrace. The patio directly outside our room had not been cleaned, possibly for months as not only was it dirty but the drain was blocked. There were a number of issues with our room including a safe we couldn’t lock, cupboard lights that wouldn’t go out (making the room quite light at night time) and the main curtains missing some hooks. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss – some days the carpets were vacuumed, some days surfaces were cleaned but not every day. We have mentioned these (and other) the issues with the hotel.
