“I LIKE IT !”

TH HOTEL IS VERY CONVENIENTLY CLOSE TO THE E. VENIZELOS AIRPORT OF ATHENS. THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY. WE DID NOT HAVE BREAKFAST BECAUSE OF AN EARLY FLIGHT BUT THE STAFF GAVE US CAKE AND HOT DRINKS. THE AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. I THOUGHT THE ROOMS WERE WELL PRICED AND NICE. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN. I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE WHO WILL FLY OUT OF ATHENS.

“Athens Holiday Inn”

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn because we had difficulties with the condo we had arranged using the internet. It was expensive but close to the airport. I am not used to a five star hotel though and and found that normal things I expect from a Holiday Inn were not available: laundry room, coke machine, ice machine. All of those things had to be ordered through room service and were quite costly. Also there is not a hot tub in the spa. Silly I know, but one comes to expect these things.The concierge was nice enough and so were the rest of the staff. Lastly, you have to pay the toll to get to the hotel. It is only accessible on the E94. Expect to pay 5 USD each time you go back to the hotel.

Area recommendations

Do not stay downtown unless you have lots of time to get to the airport.

Must see

You simply must visit the following: Acropolis (downtown Athens), Poseidon's Temple/Athena's Ruins (Sounio, south of the city one hour), and Delphi Ruins (Delphi, northwest 2.75 hours). We came to the city to visit friends and were worried about the unrest but came anyway.

“Cheaper than the hotel at the airport.”

Overall, a comfortable place to stay. Location is 10km from airport. Complementary shuttle is a little infrequent (hourly, more or less) and it is difficult to find out the schedule. Easier to arrange back to airport from hotel. Restaurant had decent dinner menu, but breakfast buffet was exorbitantly priced by any European standard.

“nice hotel near airport”

stayed here before. easy to get up, catch transfer to the airport for an early flight. nice amenities - wish they had wi-fi though! downside - didn't care for the restaraunt menu, prices or food!

“Nice Surprise”

I didn't expect a whole lot for a Holiday Inn but I was happily surprised at the modern updated look of the room as well as the hotel. The taxi drivers were on strike but the X95 bus dropped off right in front of the hotel. Also, the hotel provided a shuttle and even though the times seemed far apart, when confronted with more than they could handle they added a route. Other reviews mentioned the pricey food in the restaurant but it was no more expensive than any other hotel, especially since there was nothing else around. I was also able to use the internet and print my boarding pass. My only compliant was the refilled toiletries in the bathroom. They were sloppily refilled which was a bit gross. Overall a good experience and the price was right.

“Great Hotel and Location!”

Hotel was very clean and updated. The bed was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Less than 10 minutes away from the airport. I plan on staying at this hotel again in the future.

“Good Hotel but...”

The Holiday Inn Attica is a beautiful hotel with all the comfort. The rooms are clean and beautiful and there is nothing bad I can say about the accomodations. Unfortunately the location is an issue. Its a distance from the city and there is nothing that you can walk to or see near the hotel. Its located right off the expressway and minutes from the airport. We stayed there because our outbound flight was at 4:00am and we needed something close to airport.

“Great hotel near airport”

Perfect hotel if you need to be near the airport to catch a flight out of Athens. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to take you to the airport so you don't have to pay for a taxi. The hotel is very clean and has everything you need for a short stay. This is our second time staying at this hotel and would definitely stay there again rather than paying much more to stay in the hotel adjacent to the airport.
