“Very good for the rate we paid.”

We wanted a Motel that was reasonably priced for our first couple of nights after fiying into Orlando International and that's what we got . We were pleasantly suprised at the standard of the motel. It is the wrong side of the road (not beach side) which is dificult to cross on foot, other than that no problems.

Area recommendations

We use Cocoa Beach as a convenient stop over after flying in to Orlando International and then moving on to other parts of Florida.

Must see

Go to manitee cove off road to Kennedy Space Centre. We saw 50 to 60 of these wonderful creatures on our first visit. Be prepared for disapointment, there were only two on our second visit.

Ok for the price, a reasonably clean hotel considering the age. First owned by the original 7 astronauts in the early 60's.

“Close to everything in Cocoa Beach.”

The parking lot was too small, otherwise it was a standard type motel with good service.

“Not very good”

When we pulled up to the hotel I wanted to keep on driving because the outside looked dumpy. The blankets on the beds felt old and the continental breakfast was packed with people and not much to offer except a waffle maker (which was good but we waited about 20 minutes in line to use it). The pool was great though. We checked out of the hotel after two nights and returned to the liveliness of Orlando where we stayed at a hotel that also had 2.5 stars like this La Quinta and was the same price (Holiday Inn Express Kissimmee Lake Buena Vista East) but it was gorgeous, clean, and had a full breakfast buffet. On a side note, when we went to beach from La Quinta it was annoying having to walk about 10 minutes to get there in 100 degree weather and down a dirty street, only to find two huge sting rays in the water where the water was only a few inches above our ankles. We didn't go in and our kids were so bummed. Also, we're used to VA Beach beaches that have a boardwalk and great night life atmosphere for families with music playing, ice cream along the beach, shops, etc. but Cocoa Beach was dead. The only happening place was Ron Jon Surf Shop, but nothing else. What a bore. The next day we drove down to Sebastian Inlet with crystal clear water and manatees swimming nearby which was cool, but next trip we'll look for a beach with more life to it than Cocoa Beach.

“Pleasent suprize”

“Air Cond broke down first day and took hours in a humid room to have them fix it.”

This hotel should be avoided.They know nothing about customer service.

“Great place”

We stayed 2 nights. The place is nice, the breakfast is good, the pool is,perfect.but the bedroom was a little bit humid.
