“booked it for the view”
We booked this hotel for our anniversary weekend. We arrived early, and the staff was wonderful, directing us to some local festivals while they prepared the room. We chose this hotel specifically because the rooms had private balconies on the beach. Unfortunately, that was the best feature of the hotel. The room had a terrible stale odor to it that went along with the outdated bright yellow paint job. There were definite signs of wear with visible damage to the baseboards. Luckily enough we were on an upper floor, so we made the best of it and slept with the balcony door open. The next morning I was using the hotel's hair dryer, when my hair was sucked into the fan. The fan cover was mostly missing - making the blow dryer very dangerous. It is a shame that the property is not in a better state, as the location and beach access are fantastic.
“Good for the price”
We stayed in a suite. The bedroom was very large and the beds were clean and comfortable. The room was clean and and quiet and we liked that the bathroom was outside the bedroom (nice touch if you are traveling with kids). The kitchenette was fine, clean and functional for reheating leftovers but don't plan on cooking in it. No stove and only a few dishes and cutlery. The small living room area wasn't very functional and the pull out couch was terrible but if you have small children, they probably wouldn't notice. The beach is a one minute walk and food and entertainment are in walking distance. The hotel staff was pleasant and accomodating and (free) breakfast was good. Considering the location of the hotel and the price, we were satisfied.
“Right on the Beach.”
room was just 50 yds from the beach. parking was right outside my door.
“before renting this at this hotel”
There are hotels in the area with a similar price and not have to walk to reach the beach. The rooms are small, is very good size for 2 people, more people in the same room is almost difficult to walk with luggage and small tables that are inside the room
“Won't stay there ever again.”
Although this hotel is near the beach, it is obvious that this is an aged facility that has not been recently updated or adequately maintained. Most of the appliances in our room were unplugged because there were only two overloaded outlets in the room and I guess the hotel was afraid that one of the outlets might catch fire. Our microwave did not work because it was unplugged and the plug for it was behind the armoire which could not be moved. Although our visit was during the week, the hotel had only two attendants (surly ones at that) working the breakfast room and the two attendants were so inundated with people that they could not keep up with the crowd. The breakfast room was so overcrowded, I waited in line for close to 15-20 minutes and then there was absolutely no where to sit down and eat. This was all during the 8:00 hour. Finallly, around 8:45 am a manager appeared and said they were opening another room to accommodate the crowd. By that time, many people had left go go buy breakfast elsewhere or as in my case, took the food back to my room where I couldn't warm the food because the microwave wasn't working, besides the fact that breakfast would not be served after 9:00.
“Great Locale at Cocoa Beach”
Great location in Cocoa Beach. Oceanfront hotel with 2 pools. Nothing fancy, but the room was spacious and comfortable. I'd definitely would stay there again.
“one night stay”
We stayed here for one night of beach and sun before the standard week of Disney. We stayed in the Tower right on the ocean with a beautiful ocean balcony. This hotel is older, for seasoned travellers you will understand you have gotten good value for your money simply for veiw/location. Breakfast was good and good selection (included). Chairs/umbrella's available for rent on beach in front of motel for 20$/day, again, good value (Ron Jon's 30$). This is the only life guarded section of beach for small children. The famous pier is 200 ft. away. Dining available for all tastes on the pier. We are very familiar with Daytona/New Smyrna and Cocoa Beach. For the price this motel offers great value for an outstanding location. The carpets definiately need to be replaced in the rooms, beds and linens were very nice.
“great beach hotel”
We had a great stay. The beach is amazing! The Spring Break crowd at the pub on the beach was pretty loud right through the Saturday night, but other than that, great location, good breakfast (lengthy line, though), and we give it a good recommendation!
“was ok”
The hotel is a lot older then expected and it a bunch of different groups of buildings all clumped together, kinda weird. The only real issue was the bathroom door didn't close all the way.
“great location”
we stayed here on a overnight before our cruise. the location was perfect and the breakfast buffet was a good spread to hold us over before lunch.
