Very pleased and surprised to be upgraded to a Suite upon arrival.
Rooms and main areas are all newly redone, nice, clean... felt very safe.
Only issue I would have is one mattress was old and you could feel the springs, tho the other was much newer... don't understand why when refurbishing a hotel, why not do the mattresses, all of them?
We also couldn't use the pool due to the baseball players (teens) that were there..... they simply took it over, don't know what the hotel could have done about that.
I was there from another state for a High School graduation. I left the "do not disturb" sign on my door the entire time and it was honored by the staff. I had electronics, etc in the room and didn't want anyone in the room when I was away.
The room itself was clean and very comfortable. I was able to get clean towels any time I wanted from the front desk. It's a completely non-smoking hotel, and I like that. The pool and gym were very nice and easy to use. The gym had clean, newer machines. A nice, complimentary, continental style breakfast was provided till 9am on weekdays and till 10am on weekends. No one ever asked me my room number or asked me to prove I was a guest of the hotel when I was using any of the amenities. I took my teen grandchildren to my room on several occasions to visit and was never questioned. The hotel is located off the main drag and was quiet and relaxing.
We were given a lovely hotel with a sea view. The pool is quite small but ample for our visit which was out of season so therefore not too busy. Breakfast was good in the adjoining complex and good food just a short walk away.

The new Hilton Garden Inn Ft. Myers Airport/FGCU hotel is the premier hotel in the Fort Myers area. Our unique setting is …More
I was in Fort Myers on a job interview, and the TravelLodge was a great option because I needed to stay close by the airport. It was clean, very comfortable, had everything I needed, plus more, and was quiet. Also, I appreciated the friendly staff.
Continental Breakfast was to served starting at 6 am. I had an appointment at 7:30 and had to take a taxi to the appointment. Breakfast was not ready for the guests until 6:20 and the sausage gravy was ice cold which put a damper on the rest of the breakfast.
The hotel staff reccomended a Taxi company which I used, paid $39.60. The return trip back to the hotel I used a different company (Yellow Taxi) and paid $26.05.
The hotel itself and the front desk staff were Very Pleasant, and the rooms quite comfortable with a nice desk/work area.
Say hello to Ty if you see him, he seems to do everything there.
