“"Uncomfortable beds, but clean and convenient, pet friendly"”

This hotel has a great family and neighborhood feel, nice landscaping and feels very safe. Kitchen is perfect size, with icemaker and working appliances and very convenient room layout. It has one drawback that may or may not be a deal breaker for you. The beds are short--I am 5.10 and my feet extended beyond the end of the bed. Beds are also hard and pillows small sized and not comfortable. I am used to the beds at Hampton Inns--no comparison. But breakfast was great, it was very pet friendly, and everything was spotless. Basically the beds would be a deal breaker if not for my need to travel with my little dog!

Area recommendations
Downtown southern pines is great. Very relaxed atmosphere and wonderful restaurants. Carolina Horse Park is a fabulous equestrian facility.
Dining
Ashten's is great and comfortable spot for dinner-in the bar--wonderful antique couches and tables, recommend the stilton burger and onion rings!! Also Wolcott's for very nice upscale dining.
