“Great Location”

The hotel staff were very friendly and all were fluent in either French or English for those who did not speak German. Very helpful from the check in, dining room staff and maid service. The hotel is in the pedestrian village on the lake with great access to shops and dining, although we had dinner at the hotel every night because the restaurant was so good. Breakfast buffeet and dinner we leave you with no desire for lunch. The view of the lake from our room was picture perfect. They have a gated private parking lot. Great pool and suana and hot tub. The lounge has a nice bar with emntertainment on the weekends. The bartender was very willing to discuss German politics and explain what we we watching on German TV News. One issue was the internet is useless. Snail mail is fater there.

Area recommendations

The hotel is quite convenient for excursions into the Black Forest and there are Hohenzollern Castles within a slightly longer drive. If you do not have a car, there is plenty to do on foot at the lake, there are bike rentals and the hotel provides complimentary tickets for the village shuttle bus and the train. Very easy to get anywhere

“Great setting”

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is situated right on Lake Titisee and is close to the shopping facilities and restaurants. It is definitely worth paying a bit more for a room with a view of the lake. We found the staff friendly and polite, the room spotless, and the sizeable car park meant it was easy to find a parking space. The hotel and Titisee provided the perfect contrast to our earlier stay in Strasbourg. We'll be back.

Traveller's tip

There is a greater choice of eating places at lunchtime. The majority of restaurants in Titisee seemed to be closed in the evenings. Nevertheless, we had a lovely meal in a restaurant overlooking the lake.

nice hotel in small town in the black forest of germany. clean with a fitness center. good stop over for traveling to other major cities like stuttgart, munich, etc. also with good access to swiss alps.
