“Plymouth Fun Time”
The room had nice amenities. The beds were comfortable. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is old and a bit tired looking in the lobby and surrounding area. No bed and breakfast rate and I thought the price was just ok. Would have been happier with about $20.00 less or at least an included breakfast. I would stay here again.
“nice ammenities”
easy to walk to all local attractions. nice pool, restaurant, and general services.
“cant wait to go back poolo was great everything in walking distance”
hotel was clean, convenient to all. pool was wonderful. will definitely go back
“We will go back”
We enjoyed the location and the pool.
“happy with accomodations”
We had been to this hotel many years ago and had fun. We decided to go back for a short vacation. We like the hotel because it is close to alot of area attractions and with the small pool area with the slide for the kids its great if the weather is not so good, raining or to cold to go to the beach. Beach is very close as is shopping and other activities. also there is a play area at the beach with swings and jungle gym area for kids.
“I expected much better.”
For a New England In & Spa with the photos listed on line, I expected more. Rooms were cold, never warmed up. No quilts on beds. No extra blankets. $5 discount off a meal check, not per person but per check. Beds were not so comfortable. Shower and bathroom need to be updated. It was more like staying in a old cold room at a Motel 6. Should be rated a 2-star rating. As for the Spa, you wouldn't even know it was there. Staff never pushed it and did not offer up any extra details when asked if it were even open. Such a shame. On line this Inn & Spa looks like a really great warm quaint place to stay. but it's nothing special.
“A Pilgrim Thanksgiving”
Thanksgiving was great and following my Pilgrim anscestors was easy. The hotel is next to burial hill in Plymouth and leass than three miles to Plimouth Plantation.
“Great location”
The John Carver Hotel is in a great location. You can walk to several small shops and sight-see without getting into the car.
“Great time in Plymouth”
We visited historic sites and enjoyed dining along the waterfront. Plymouth is a beautiful City.
“Slightly less than expected”
The John Carver Inn is a nice hotel in the heart of the Plymouth waterfront district. It is within walking distance to Mayflower II and Plymouth Rock. The indoor pool was smaller than we expected, the 'replica' of the Mayflower in the pool area was a replica of the 'bow 'of the Mayflower, and there was only one water slide (I wouldn't call it a water park). Staff were attentive and maid service was excellent. The hotel spa seemd pricey and isn't staffed regularly (tried to get an appintment but no one was available to come in until late afternoon). As a business traveler, I am accustomed to a continental breakfast; this hotel had only a full service restaurant - inconvenient & costly to have a sit-down breakfast each day.
