Lovely big rooms, plenty of room to play hide & seek with my 2 year old!
Pool not very big,or deep, but perfect to have a splash & unwind after a long car journey.
Staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to give a balloon and a big fuss to our little girl at mealtimes.
The toiled didn't flush in our room, when we arrived, but we reported it,and it was fixed straight away. We also had a very speedy delivery when we ordered room service on one night of our stay.
Overall a very enjoyable stay, with good food and friendly helpful staff.
Will defiantly stay here again.
Pleasantly welcomed at reception after a couple of rings on the buzzer. ( maybe short staffed ? ) Room 19 which is to the rear of the premises not facing the motorway side. I seem to recall all odd numbers face to the rear ! We did not have a problem with any traffic noise, even though being a warm weekend we left the window open. The room was spotless and although the premises could do with a revamp, was of a perfectly acceptable condition for us. Nice touch of free wi - fi and tea coffee in room plus soap dispensers (No Hair shampoo so bring your own ) and free parking. The bed was very comfortable and we had a relaxing couple of nights here. The journey into the city will take 15 20 mins because of the awful traffic queues which seems to be constant in our experiences of navigating around Southampton, don't get me started on parking, they charge everywhere £3 + for a couple of hours even on Sundays, grrrr. Would recommend this hotel if you don't mind the drive into the city. Wifey drives back from meal/pubs, your welcome ;)

We reached the Blue Keys Hotel after an 18-hour air travel ordeal, and were initially intimidated by the lack of air conditioning and a steep, narrow stairway climbing two flights to our room. But once there, what a delight. The room was cozy, bright and airy with fully opening windows admitting a lovely breeze with a pedestal fan to keep the air moving. It was very quiet with only an occasional ship's whistle from the port or a screech owl in the night. Our host Kelly was most helpful, lugging our heavy suitcases up the stairs and then delivering a late lunch to the room. The food was delicious and the apple and forest berry crumble with custard sauce was one of the best deserts ever. We slept in and so missed the full, cooked breakfast. The hotel is a 115 year old building, located in a peaceful residential neighborhood. With the restaurant on he first floor, it is an ideal choice for pre-cruise stays.
The lady of the hotel was excellent and zzz helped us to find a photograph shop for a battery for our video camera. Our bedroom wS large and we had a nice outlook on to the garden very pleasant hosts and would certainly go there again if I wS down that area

This charming inn, with its thatched roof, superb food and comfortable rooms provided us with a convenient and enjoyable 'pit stop' in the midst of a couple of days of cycling in the beautiful New Forest. Even though the Pilgrim Inn is part of a hotel chain, the staff were very friendly and the menu was full of fresh and interesting local produce. The 'olde worlde' charm runs from exposed timber and the open fire in the restaurant to angled ceiling in our 'attic' bedroom with its attractive furnishings and decor. Unfortunately, we bumped our heads a couple of times on the ceiling and we'd have liked a functioning extractor fan in the windowless bathroom.

Found the guesthouse in my second week in Southampton, I'm working there at the moment, from the moment I arrived I was greeted warmly, I was leaving too early to have the cooked breakfasts so it was arranged that a sandwich would be made and left in my room for when I got back, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was quite central.
I would definitely recommend the guesthouse to anyone who wants to stay in Southampton
