“Go to any other hotel in Sheffield.”

Grim place behind a derelict petrol station, only 2 lifts, one of which was not working. Room incredibly overheated by afternoon sun, no cooling apart from a desk fan. Did not risk breakfast, went elsewhere.

“Good value.”

This hotel is a good alternative to the higher priced hotels in the area. The resturant and bar staff are great! The towels are thin and the toiletries a little skimpy, but at half the price of some of the nearby hotels, it's a great value. I would definately stay here again.

“Nice hotel”

Nice hotel, clean and tidy, but right next to a disused garage. Very close to all the city centre attractions.

“Conisder alternatives!”

Check in was easy & staff were friendly. Only 1 of the 2 lifts was working this was a problem at breakfast time & checking out, we had to wait several minutes for the lift. after breakfast the other lift broken so we had to use the stairs to go up 6 floors! Rooms are comfortable & clean, but dated. There was a lot of noise from banging door closers. At 3.30am we were woken by the fire alarm and began an evacuation. It was false alarm, however we only know this becuase we asked,no explanation or apology was offered. Breakfast was served till 10.00am on the Sunday & we went down at 9.30 (After the distrubed night!) Breakfast was chaotic, there was only about 25 – 30 people there but nothing was ready & some clearly agitated guests who were complaining about having to wait. Initially staffed appeared uninterested and they made comments suggesting that the problem had been caused by guests arriving at the same time for breakfast! Later somebody aplogise but added that this was common on Sunday mornings! Having had such a disturbed night sleep we tried to get some more rest before our long journey, only to be woken by housekeeping knocking on the door at 11.00am to make up the room – before we had even checked out! The price of the hotel was reasonable, but not significantly different from other hotels in the area, so I would look to stay somewhere else.

“Satisfied customer would stay again”

walking distance to the shopping centre, but not from station as described although you could maybe walk it but probably would get lost, however was about 5 min taxi drive and only cost a few £s. Requested a smoking double room but got a non smoking 2 single beds pushed together, room was very warm but a desk fan was provided, on the whole hotel and staff were nice and would stay again.

“Clean & comfortable”

We needed a hotel close to Ponds Forge swimming pool & this hotel certainly fitted the bill. Room was clean & comfortable. Staff were friendly & very helpful. The kettle in the room didn't work but was promptly changed for a working one. The car park appeared secure, worth noting that the cost is £4 for 24 hours if the ticket is validated at the reception, but free 'on street' parking available on Sundays on the street just near the hotel. Derelict garage adjacent to the hotel is not pretty sight.

“Park Hotel Sheffield”

The Hotel was clean and located in central Sheffield. Breakfast was not included in the price so I was surprised that there was nothing in the room to tell me what breakfast would cost if I wanted it.

staff were nice, but most uncomfortable nights sleep ive ever had... bedding was nasty, and not even on the bed properly, and never before have i seen such small pillows, infact im not entirely sure they didnt forget to give us pillows, as what we had was really only (very lumpy) cushions, (no more than 15" square!) tried restuarant at night, lacking ambiance to say the least, but waited ages and then the chef hadnt cooked the potatoes that were supposed to go with my 3" square of salmon....not good and wasnt game to have dissapointment repeated for breakfast. Also woken 3 times in the early hours by different groups of VERY NOISY other guests - seemed to be no staff keeping an eye on this. overall really not a good experience and definately wont be going back here.

“Good Hotel to use as base in Sheffield”

The room was a good size with twin beds, which were very comfortable, had a really good nights sleep. Very quiet and peaceful.We had an on-suite bathroom with shower, hot water always available, very clean towels and bed linen. We had breakfast and an evening meal in the Resturant and the food and service was excellant.All the staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful.
