“Jury's Sheffield”

Two nights B&B. Hotel Reception extremeley helpful and all staff including Managers courteous in a way you don't normally experience. Rooms were comfortable and clean, but hotel beginning to show its age, but still well above average. All in all a high standard of stay with staff to be commended.

A lovely hotel, super room, clean, quiet, spacious, with the comfiest beds. Good restaurant, friendly service - couldn't fault it.

Good new hotel. Able to walk to most parts of town. Hotel restaurant and bar reasonably priced and good value. No parking at the hotel but down the street. I would stay there again.

Very handy for the train station and central Sheffield. Excellent breakfast buffet, too. Hotel bar stays late until 1.30am but be warned that prices are approx £3.50/pint. Despite that, will book again for next Sheffield stay.

Comfortable room and bed. Bathroom immaculate. Only complaint - How do you sit in the bath and use the soap dispenser which is high up on the wall?!Breakfast was good - fresh fruit particularly welcome. When the road works have finished, the restaurants will be easily accessible from the hotel. It is a pity that there are so few good shops but that is not the fault of the hotel.

“Comfortable modern hotel”

We found Jury's Inn, Sheffield to be a comfortable and well equipped modern hotel. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the room was quite large with a decent shower, albeit in a smallish shower room. The restaurant and bar were a good size and breakfast service was OK if not spectacular. The hotel is not easy to find, a common problem in Sheffield because the one way system is largely incomprehensible. There is a large car park across the road and it turned out that hotel guests get a substantial discount, although we parked in the right park by chance since the existence of parking and the provision of discount was not apparent from the literature. I gather that some rooms may have a problem with noise from a nearby night club, but we did not have this experience, our room being very peaceful. Overall a good experience, we would use this hotel again.

“Middle-of-the-road hotel; extortionate WiFi charges”

This hotel is a bog-standard business hotel. It's very hard to find if you use Sat Nav, as the roads in Sheffield have been remodelled, with peculiar one-way systems (and very close to this hotel there's a hotel where you think you should go straight on to get to the hotel, but have to turn left; if you go around the block, turning round, and come back to the hotel, you CAN then turn left - effectively going straight on from where you first got to it. Confused? You will be.) My main complaint was the extortionate cost of WiFi. Given that the cost of providing wifi is so low to the hotel, and that many hotels now bundle it for free, I'd look for a hotel that offers it free next time. The other minor complaint was that the hotel is down (and across) the road from the hotel, and not inexpensive, even with the hotel discount.
