Not a bad 4* hotel for the price.

Pros: The free leisure facilities, very peacefull and quiet at night, huge bed and big room.
Cons: Corridors need brightening up and the biscuits to eat with your tea, let's have one packet each eh instead of one to share.
Location: N/A
Needed somewhere to sleep for one night and found this place, cheaper than Premier inns and travel lodges we looked at online.

Great hotel but breakfast and beer lacking

Posted 21-Apr-2015 on Hotels
Good buildings and great gym and pool. Only real problem is food and drink - breakfast is very average and not normally hot. Drinks in the bar suffer from poor beer "housekeeping" (unless you LIKE pints of vinegary beer). Lots of god things about this hotel but it will not be great until it resolves these issues. I will go somewhere else next time as I can then have a few drinks in comfort without driving

Average at best

Posted 17-Apr-2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Room standard and food - meal was poor.
Location: Poor - in the middle of an industrial estate. Sat hav takes you to the goods entrance which is dirty and pretty grim.
Very disappointing. Place is nothing like the pics on website. Our room was in the run down/tired part of the hotel that was very basic and was a rundown room/tired room.

The fretwell suite ( bridal suite)

Posted 23-Mar-2015
No radiators working, couldn't get wifi, thread bare towels, lamps not working, Lovely bathroom, nice seating area. You would like if you prefer olden style. Not worth the money, we upgraded! Spa area is adequate.

Service poor and under staffed

Posted 13-Mar-2015 on Hotels
I was disappointed in this hotel, for a four star I expected more, when we arrived we went to the bar for a drink, we had to go an find someone to serve us, the glasses didn't look very clean. We had booked for dinner but when we went we were told we would have to wait a while to be served as they had a larger booking in, we went elsewhere, it had a cooked breakfast which was cold and not very fresh, to me the hotel was very understaffed on the night that we stayed, on this experience I would not recommend this hotel

Short stay (there to attend funeral) Good meal in restaurant although the music was too loud!
