Superb hotel on A1 South Yorkshire

Posted 25-Aug-2014
Pros: all of the above
Cons: Could not find anything
Location: On A1 between Bawtry and Doncaster near A1M ,M18. Airport and Racecourse. See Wildlife Park and Lakeside shopping and aircraft museums in Doncaster
This fantastic hotel within easy reach of motorways and Airport is Ideal for a romantic business or holiday stay, The staff are cheerful helpful and never too busy to listen. The waiters are friendly and professional without being self important and they are knowledgeable about and willing to discuss dietary needs. Initially booking on line for one night I found our plans had changed and subsequently booked a further night. I emailed the hotel and without question or problem a table was booked for dinner and we were able to keep the same room, despite the bookings being made days apart and the stay being over a Bank holiday. The hotel was busy with weddings on each of the three days we were there but the celebrations did not disrupt the functioning of the hotel nor were we at all disturbed by them. . The food was delicious and helped by the waiter who cheerfully and patiently described each dish, I had the most wonderful dessert with a very understated title of Rhubarb and Custard -a sweet to die for!

Lovely quiet hotel

We booked the hotel as we were attending Doncaster races. All the staff were very pleasent and overly helpful. The room was vary clean, spacious and beautifully furnished. The service was prompt and the food excellent. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked into the hotel again in Sept and October of this year.

Fantastic room and great wedding venue

Posted 10-May-2014 on Hotels.com
Really big, clean and luxurious rooms, very nice shower and bathroom, comfy bed and a very nice hotel in general. Quite expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. We stayed for a friend's wedding and really enjoyed it. Quite a late check in and early checkout time compared with other hotels, meaning you get less hours for your money. Thoroughly recommended despite this!

3 night break for Doncaster races

Posted 28-Apr-2014
Pros: The setting, being out in the countryside but still being very close to Doncaster.
Cons: The beds and pillows.
Location: Very convenient for Doncaster and the racecourse. Good pub and restaurant close by. The little town of Bawtry is well worth a visit.
Hotel was chosen because of its closeness to Doncaster racecourse, approx. 10-15 minutes away. Not having stayed at this hotel before and with only the web site to go by, we were more than happy with almost everything during our stay. The friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent, as was the cleanliness of the rooms. The only downside was the bed, which we found extremely uncomfortable, as was the settee in our room.

Quality Night

Posted 10-Mar-2014 on Hotels.com
The Room was spotless, I got upgraded to a junior Suite at no extra charge, The room was full of amazing extras but the best asset of the room had to be the bed. So comfortable and relaxing. The staff were very welcoming and friendly so it made my stay that little bit more enjoyable.

Good hotel with great sized rooms

Posted 24-Feb-2014
We've been to Mount Pleasant before. The rooms are such a great size - you could fit a one bedroomed flat in the executive room we had. Very comfortable - the only downside is the dining room is looking a bit dated.
