Great hotel
Nice hotel, very clean & comfortable room (111). Fantastic location right in the centre of the city. Handy for all the shops & theatres. The only reason I didn’t give it an excellent rating is the tv in our room wouldn’t tune in, & although I brought it to the attention of the receptionist, nothing was done about it.

Our stay was OK. We were only here for one night and didn't spend much time at the hotel as we were out for an event. The hotel upon entry looks smart and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had to request a couple more pillows (there was only one per person in the room) which were brought up for us (albeit without pillow cases???). The room itself was pretty dated, and the single glazed windows didn't do much to keep the noise out. My main beef however is with the breakfast. £8.50 for a bag with a manky croissant, waffle, porridge pot, orange and a carton of juice is frankly daylight robbery. I don't know how the poor lady behind the counter could keep a straight face when handing it over! For info - there's plenty of places to pick up breakfast within 1min from the hotel. There's a McDonalds literally round the corner which you could get a hot feast for two for the price of one of the hotel breakfasts.

COVID aftermath/ getting back to normal?
Staff are pleasant and very accommodating. Areas Going under some renovation. Water pressure is great. Room temp control is on point. Beds could be better but you can sleep. I’m used to memory foam, haven’t had to sleep on springs in years. ( personal preference, I understand). Doors slam and echo through the halls, at least you’ll know if someone is coming for you. Active location, expect noise during the evenings. Close to everything you should need (food, convenience shops, gifts, clothing etc) everything is within walking distance.

Great one night stay
Great little hotel to stay at really friendly staff and the room was lovely. Carpark close by and in the centre close to everything. A bit noisy in the early hours from outside but only to be expected. Would definitely stay here again my only criticism really is the lack of cooked breakfast, the continental effort was poor to say the least!! Could do better! so under circumstances pay extra for it. Next time we'll go to Wetherspoons for brekkie

Don't pay for breakfast!
We have stayed at the hotel a few times in the past and chose it this time mainly because we had previously been pleased with the freshly cooked breakfasts. We paid an extra £20 via Hotels.com for the breakfast, making it a very expensive night for a Sheffield hotel. Had we paid at the hotel the cost would have been £8.50 each, but even this would be an outrage for the breakfast we had. It consisted of a granola pot with yoghurt, a small croissant and pain au chocolate and a single item of fruit. I can't say that any of it was enjoyable to eat. The room had been updated but the hot tap in the sink didn't work. When I complained about this I was told to turn it on full and wait! We will be staying elsewhere in future.

It was rather noisy because the windows were open onto the side of the main road but the windows were too high to close. My friend and I had an awful nights sleep.

Very dated. Photos do not represent the experience. Sadly my TV did not work in the room. Breakfast in a bag was not worth what was paid for it. Was also not clear on booking that is what would be offered. Room was clean and staff friendly.

This hotel isn't the 'best' of anything. It is a sliver of a building that looks and smells like it was last refurbed in the late 70's. The two chairs in the picture seem to have been bought just for that photo at an attempt to pretend there was a splash of modernisation. You can still smell when the hotel had smoking rooms. We booked 4 rooms as we were working nearby. In the rooms the carpets were dank, worn and the furniture was grubby with questionable stains from years of use. The bed skated around the room at the slightest touch, the worst thing however was the stench from the drains. I wondered why when I came in housekeeping had left the windows wide open with it being so cold but it seems this was to mask the smell. Having to close the windows to sleep warm and quiet meant having to endure the stench. It was the poorest nights sleep I've had in a long time as it permeated my dreams. The only upside to the property were the well meaning staff. Clearly the state of the disrepair of the hotel is not their fault. It's long been neglected. I hoped this was better than the dubious EasyHotel which I had to stay in once nearby (last minute stay with every where else booked)... it wasn't.

1 night central Sheffield stay
One night stay to attend a gig and do some shopping with family. Friendly and welcoming staff, especially Maggie on reception. Disappointed that the breakfast was in a bag, not a sit-down full English etc. Bed and pillows clean and comfortable, but bathroom sink drained slowly, and toilet took ages to fill between flushes and didnt flush properly every time, so obviously they have some plumbing and drainage issues.

There is only a 'continental in your room' breakfast in a bag which you must collect from reception. Whilst we had paid extra for breakfast, it was unacceptable so we reluntantly went to Wetherspoons! There was no heating on in the hotel and they had no portable heaters. They said they would provide a second duvet but we are still waiting for it. The view from the room was onto a dirty noisy vehicle alleyway. Overall we were very disapoointed and we would certainly not book this hotel again.

Sheffield City Centre
I was staying 3 night's as I was attending a music festival. Hotel was in a great location, near to city centre and the brilliant tram system. For the price you cannot fault it, everything was clean and staff were friendly. I will definitely stay here again

With the lift not working and being located on the 3rd floor it was hard work especially as my wife has mobility issues. Breakfast was a breakfast bag, not sure how much i paid for it but whatever it was it was too much

Old-style hotel close to city centre & the station
Hotel very close to the city centre and 10 minutes walk from the train station. A bit old-style, but very clean, cozy, and with a huuuge bathroom. :-) Would definitely stay again.

Ok so a city centre hotel with likelihood of disturbance and that came at 2.30 so my fault . Not in the best condition but room clean enough . No cooked breakfast and awful grab bag was a turn off and would not have stayed if I had known. I would not stay here again for those reasons

Expensive Car Parking.
Staff at the hotel were brilliant, very helpful and friendly. The room was snug, the water was barely warm, and the shower had almost no pressure. Great location, right in the city centre. No parking at the hotel, so had to park at the nearby NCP which cost £40 for four days. I can’t recommend the hotel for anyone arriving by car, due to additional costs.

Ideal for a visit to Sheffield as it is close to the railway station, bars & restaurants. We were offered earplugs as it is a city centre location but we declined and didn't need them anyway. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy with plenty of tea & coffee.

Disappointing
The hotel is clean and is in a central location. However, we had an executive room, but other than a king size bed i don't know what was executive about it. No air con, no dvd player which is advertised. We had to open all the windows and cutains and leave the bathroom door open to circulate some air as it was so hot. With all the noise and the soooo soft mattress meant we did not get a good night sleep at all.
