Pros: Easy access to the city centre, ample free parking. Good value for money
Cons: Sound proofing on rooms facing the road
Rooms clean and spacious, good value for money buffet style breakfast (£6.50 April 2015) Rooms are a little noisy if facing the road.

Smokey rooms/no wifi/noisy neighbours

Posted 30-Mar-2015
First room allocated to me was a non smoking room, as soon as I opened the door you could smell someone had been smoking in there. Went to reception and asked to change room which they did to the room next door, opened the door, the same smell again. By this time it was late, the lift was broken and I couldn't be bothered to lug my bag all the way down stairs again to complain and probably just get changed to another smokey room so I just put up with it. Also wifi was down and there was a lot of noise from surrounding rooms, loud music and noisy kids (under 12's rugby team in tour!) running around the hallways. All in all not a great experience, which is a shame as my previous experiences with ibis hotels has been good.

Good prices

Posted 25-Mar-2015
For the price we have paid it's good enough. We went there to get some fresh air and rest from speed life in London. Nice city and good hotel staff.

Hotel on outskirts of town dockland redevelopment

Posted 17-Mar-2015
Pros: The wet room shower was amazing
Cons: noise insulation
Location: The area is being redeveloped, so many of the road do not connect with other parts of the docklands, museums markets
Welcoming staff and fast check in. Room eating is electric to remember to turn the heater on before going out for dinner! If your room is next to the main road, early morning lorries can disturb your sleep!

A Bed For The Night.

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: The Shower
Cons: The broadband speed, TV speed, bed comfort and better pillows. Get rid of those awful stainless steel sinks....
The whole experience was remarkably underwhelming! Check in was fast and efficient, and on the whole very good. The Front of House was ok, but that's about the best you can say. The room was clean, and functional. The bed was not the most comfortable, and the pillows like a lump of concrete, but it was clean concrete. The Bathroom was clean, with a good shower (loved the wet room shower) but the stainless steel sink and plastic transparent side made it feel like a public outside lavatory. The wonderful, superfast broadband must have been on holiday, instead we had its brother, the dead stop and slow broadband, absolutely useless, couldn't even get my mail to download. The TV system was so slow that I gave up in the end, I think perhaps that had gone on holiday with the broadband as well. Breakfast was fine for the money, but I had to go and find a member of staff to refill the empty items like orange juice and eggs. Altogether, it was a bed for the night, not a particularly cheap or comfy one, but I'd put it as a very expensive, poor relation of Travelodge!

Pros: It was close to Swansea centre and access to and from Hwys. No excessive noise at night in or around the hotel.
Cons: A fridge would be nice and I only found out as we were leaving I could have asked for a brand new hairdryer instead of struggling with the old one.
Location: Swansea market its not too far, the Mariner has lots of cafes and restaurents, Swansea Bay and famous Joes Ice Cream Parlour
Overall it was clean convenient and the staff were excellent in providing what ever you needed if you asked them, they were pleasant and curtious. Our room athough pretty basic was very clean and bed comfortable extra pillows were provided to our room as requested. It was very "Green" as far as you had to insert the card for the lights to work, so you coudnt leave them on by mistake when you left, not extra waste with tissue boxes or extras in the bathroom that people normally take. So overall as we were only there to sleep there were no problems.

Friendly Staff

Posted 10-Feb-2015
I stayed at the hotel as I was going on a night out to swansea with some friends. Our check in experience was very good, a polite and friendly gentleman checked us in. But we didn't see much of the staff until we got back from our night out and it was two security guards who were very lovely and funny. All round excellent hotel, very clean and comfortable.

Great hotel on the outskirts of the city centre

Posted 16-Jan-2015 on Hotels.com
Negatives: Not easy to get to by foot as it's right next to the motorway and although we have no complaints about noise from the main road, it takes a while to get into town walking with suitcases which is what we did. Also the only places to eat nearby is McDonalds - better than nothing. Positives: Clean, comfortable, spacious, great room, excellent service, free wifi, though we can't comment on the breakfast because we didn't have any.

Ibis Swansea

Lift was not working during the time that I was there. The wifi was expensive. The room itself was comfortable however there was a lot of noise from the street at night
