Seems like there was always someone in my room trying to fix the TV but nobody ever got it fixed. This was extremely important as I was needing to know what was going on with the community since I was there to buy some property because of the problems I never even got to meet up with my real estate agent, I should get a refund. This was a hot mess looked like somebody took a dump on my patio and the second room and then Something wet and sticky was at the foot of my bed. I had to cover with the towel and frankly I was tired of calling people into my room to fix things. I need a refund!!

The updates they have made are nice. Furnishings, bathroom tile & fixtures are beautiful. Walls and ceiling/floor paper thin! We had a toddler above us who if they weren't doing gymnastics and pounding the floor, they were crying. Up and jumping around again before 7 am. King rooms should be on top floor while family type rooms are on the bottom.

The property was being painted when I stayed so there were a few construction areas. It wasn't noisy though and the front desk staff were great. The room looked as advertised and was really enjoyable for the few days I stayed.

I loved the retro 70s vibe of the kitchenette in our room. Our room was large with a fantastic view of the beach and I loved the fireplace. The beds were comfy and breakfast was fine. I had requested and got a quiet top floor room and for that I am grateful. I’d definitely stay again

Booked a room with a hot tub and 1 king bed. Got a room with 2 queens and a shower. The only thing they got right was the water view. Now i have an additional charge on my account for who knows what.

There was no hot water at the sink. When you moved the lever to the hot water position, the water would shut off.

We stayed in a room that was recently remodeled. It was very nice and really spacious. The staff were fantastic at check in and check out. The coffee in the morning was great too. The only complaint is that the people above us were up late and we could hear everything. It's a good thing we are heavy sleepers. We would stay here again but I'd ask to be on the top floor.

This place is a total dive. It really shows what kind of work can be done with selective camera angles and filters. They blatantly lied about the pool being open which it was not when we arrived. We walked out in disgust as we felt unsafe and like we would pick up a communicable disease if we slept on the beds. We asked for a refund and the front desk guy was rude and said good luck. We booked thru Expedia and they were useless in helping us get a refund as well. We ended up going to another hotel and having to pay for 2 hotels one night on our road trip. Steer clear of this place at all costs.

Room was freshly renovated and clean. Surrounding area didn’t seem great, but we walked over to one of several fast food restaurants in the area without issue.

The property is currently being remodeled and the room I stayed in was very clean. There is not a restaurant on site, but if you want a great dinner with a view just five miles out of town I’d highly recommend the Hilltop.

I reserved a King room with a hot tub. First room they put me in was a double queen. While getting this fixed I was informed they no longer had hot tubs in the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I'm still disappointed with my stay.

We chose this hotel for its indoor pool (we needed it for PT) and for the included breakfast. BOTH were unavailable. Very disappointed. Also had very noisy people above us from 1am to 4am.

Convenient location in the heart of town. Room was clean. Hotel was under renovation. Room was updated and nice. Unfortunately, paint fumes permeated the hallways. Many side entrance doors from outside were unlocked for all hours. Not a safe set up. Each side entrance should require a key card to open. Safety should be 1st.

We stay here ever anniversary and this year our HVHS Swim team stayed here. The staff was good, we did not know there were sewage and water problems till we go there the smell was terrible. We ended upstairs, my wife is 77 and has a hard time walking and I am 81 and took all our items upstairs, If someone has called us and told us there were problems it would have been nice. The safety of everyone should be most important. Then a group has an old beat-up car that at 2 am were doing wheels in the parking lot. I gave only four stars because of the remodeling and it was night when we arrived and I didn’t see surrounding area enough to judge it. They are in process of remodeling and the rooms that are finished are clean nicely done! Some have balconies. I like the simplicity and freshness of the room we had. There were plenty of outlets for charging our devices and it was well lit so you could see the cleanliness of the room. The room has a very large tv and the bed was comfortable. It has a pretty view of the river. I would not say it’s plush but I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful
Totally remodeled. Beautiful! I loved it and I’ll be back next month! The carpet needed a better vacuum job. Hopefully they’ll have breakfast in the near future. The place is just beautiful.
