The front desk staff and all
Employees of this hotel were so helpful and kind! The only complaint was that their elevator system is extremely slow as they only have 2 running, with one going to the parkade. The breakfast staff also great as well and hotel room was well cleaned and comfortable! I'd definitely stay there again!

We attended a wedding in Portland, flew in/out of Seattle (way cheaper), had a few days at end of trip to explore Seattle. Great town, great people, excellent seafood! The Hyatt Place was 2 blocks from the Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens and EMP museum so we walked there and back. We also went to Pike Place Market and wandered around the waterfront. Driving in town not recommended, the Hyatt had a free shuttle service and that helped a lot. We definitely will go back to Seattle and will stay at the Hyatt.

Came up to Seattle for the Washougal MX National, and to pay a visit to an old childhood friend. Looked for a nice place close to downtown without the "downtown price". Found the Holiday Inn, it met those prerequisites.
Stayed in many different Travelodge's on this trip and this was the best out of the ones we stayed at. The rooms were accessed via interior hallways, limiting the noise level. The beds were comfy (the newer style down comforter type bedding vs bedspreads), and the water pressure on the shower was decent. Had a pool and hot tub, although the hot tub jets didn't work. Very easy access to Seattle Center (space needle, EMP museum, etc). We used only public transit (no car) to get from Sea-Tac airport to the hotel, and the train was great (to Westlake Center), but then planned on taking the monorail to Seattle center. That is not the way to go cost wise - bus would have been better. As such, the hotel isn't as convenient to get to because if you're on a budget, you have to transfer train to bus to get to the hotel (and bus is a separate fair from the sea-tac transit line). However, barring the location, I was very pleased with the quality of the hotel for the price (please bear in mind there are things not pristine because this is a budget motel, and not a Hilton). One last thing - we had 5 in the room, so we got a rollaway bed. This was a very tight fit once the rollaway was set up.
Friendly helpful staff made all the difference to our stay on a recent vacation in Seattle.
The Hotel is ideally placed for visits to the Space needle , and other local attractions.
The rooms while not new, are in good repair and the beds are very comfortable.
The restaurant and bar staff are knowledgable and helpful.
We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Holiday Inn Express Seattle, except for one thing. The blonde concierge must have been new, because she didn't seem to know much. Someone at the desk usually took over the questions and answered for her or she looked through maps very slowly and tried giving answers. The guy concierge was good and even offered suggestions for discounts and seemed able to find us the cheapest cab services to the places we wanted to go.
The trip in all would have been better on a 4-5 day rather than a 7-8 day, but the hotel was wonderful. spacious, clean, good breakfast, mostly good service other than the new blonde concierge. It would have been prefect if it was right beside Ivar's fish and seafood restaurant. Ha! Too many hills for strolling.
"Price and location for one night stay was a deal"
The hotel is outdated and the beds are a little hard the room/bathroom is outdated and construction was being done and it was really noisy and hard to sleep in the morning. There is a $10 parking fee which is better then street parking or finding parking. Location is key to Seattle Center and restaurants on 4th and Cedar. The price is cheap for a few nights and you really don't spend that much time in the room
