You can't find a better place to enjoy the Views of the tetons as you eat in the Dining area with 30 ft windows facing the mountains or even outside at the tables, but if you stay in the double queen rooms they are pretty dang old, they are clean, no tv in those rooms, and no view from those rooms.
We came here in the summer for a memorial taking place in the Wind River Mountain range. The rooms and beds are cozy, the kitchen in the rooms is very convenient, and we took advantage of the jacuzzi both nights of our stay. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good but not great, but there's a cheaper option of lighter fare with just yogurt, fruit, cereal, etc. or the full buffet of eggs and bacon/sausage, pancakes, etc. It's convenient but still buffet quality. For the price, you might want to stock some groceries and make breakfast in the room. The small market at the gas station doesn't have a lot of groceries, so I'd stock up in Jackson or somewhere before you arrive. Overall, we had a great stay here.
This was our second visit here, and the hotel has consistently delivered a great value for the money. The location is unbeatable (the Four Seasons is right next door at significantly higher price). The hotel has a great spa, gym and indoor/outdoor pool. Staff is warm and friendly. Try to go for Rendezvous weekend at the end of March and you'll be a two minute walk to three nights of free music.
Very Yellowstone(e) but clean and very roomy. No TV (not a big deal) or phone (which worried me since cell phones did not work either so not sure how to get in touch with anyone if there is a problem or emergency). Log cabin that we got to in the dark so it was a little hard to get acclimated from the outside. But, it was comfortable and clean which are the main things.
Not on the Lake, and not a short walk, was a surprise. Beautiful view from front porch.
Food at lunch was great but five course meal at $80 per head with dress requirements as only dinner option was a bit of a turn off.
I'd go back.
"Nice breakfast. Big room with private living room."
We used the private living room for a bedroom for a 5th person. They brought a blow up mattress for the 5th person, which was fine. The staff was extra friendly. The hotel is walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants in the downtown area. A perfect location. Also a short driving distance to the airport.
