We stayed for one night after booking online. We had a comfortable nights sleep with an amazing breakfast buffet in the morning. Very reasonable and I would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

I have stayed at Trooper Inn on several occasions and hope to stay there many times in the future. Food is superb, staff are welcoming, rooms are very nice, decor is imaginative and playful, gardens and countryside are lovely, and all is quiet and restful. For a Londoner, this is a perfect chill out place!
A pleasant traditional country public house with comfortable well presented accommodation. Excellent selection of wines and well kept hand pulled real ales. Lovely beer garden. The evening meal available in the bar restaurant was very good. All staff were friendly and attentive.
I had booked and paid for bed and breakfast for my 2 night stay. I asked for a cooked breakfast on my second morning which was well cooked and presented. However, I was disappointed to be charged extra for this. Apparently only a complementary breakfast of orange juice, yoghurt, cereal, piece of fruit, etc, (available in the bedroom) is included in the Bed & Breakfast price. Away from busy roads, the hotel ensures peaceful relaxation in comfortable rooms, well equipped including facilities to suit disabled visitors. All the staff are cheerful and welcoming. Having eaten earlier at a family celebration we did not sample the menu but it certainly looked very attractive. Breakfast was excellent and promptly served. There was plenty of easily accessible parking.
I have just completed the rebuild of a classic sports car and looked for a nice halfway point on are two day maiden drive through the country side. Couldn't have asked for a nicer pub and location. Are stay at the wool pack made are trip. We recommend to all car driving fans.
