Property very tired - needs upgrades. Some spaces very neglected...people very nice. Butler was unable to do anything...very timid and appeared only at the beginning of our stay and came out when we were leaving...for a tip! She was invisible for all of our stay - need to upgrade this feature of the experience or just eliminate the "butler" idea. A

Amazing resort, great for kids. Be cautious with booking on the app, as sometimes it doesn't work (After booking, if you don't see the "Cancel Booking" button on your reservation then it isn't a real reservation, and you need to go see guest services to actually book it). I wouldn't recommend paying extra for Family Selection as it didn't seem worth it. The FS pool was fairly basic and all the FS guests just went over to the main pool, and the beach on that side of the property was terrible - nobody was ever there (and non-FS also have access to the beach anyways).

Since you arrive they are trying to sell you vacations, the adult pool was full of algae, rooms are not cleaned properly.

I really enjoyed our stay but would remind people to use their safe at all times in this hotel. We had cash stolen from our bags in our room while at the pool for the day. It must have been someone who had access to our room as there was no signs of a break in. Made for a crummy experience in an otherwise lovely hotel and made me feel violated and apprehensive about the people working there.

Food was very poor. Allowing wedding parties to play music at an horrendous volume until 11:00 PM is terrible. You need to monitor the volume of these events. Entertainment was mediocre. I have been to 7 other all inclusives and they all had better entertainment. I don't know how you got a 5 star rating, but I would give you a 2 star rating with the food being the biggest problem.

Loved the shows, and the beach was amazing, all staff were friendly and helpful. We only had trouble booking a reservation at the Mexican restaurant, twice our booking couldn’t be found :( , we will recommend your resort and will come back!

The king size bed in our room was busted! lol seriously, my side of the mattress was broken so I would constantly want to slide on to the floor. Room smelled of pet dander at first. Not the normal smell rooms take on in tropical climates. I didn’t complain because we’re had such a great time anyways. We will be back

I rated my stay as poor because of the food. I couldn’t eat it as everything tasted like it had been made with bad oil. Even the fresh fruit was tasteless-how do you do that !? The grounds have so many stairs you are exhausted after day three just by getting to the water. Only good thing was the staff and they were all great. But, we will not go back.

Overall a friendly and welcoming experience. The food was very good, particularly the specialty restaurants. The two pretty significant drawbacks are the need to stand in line every morning to get a reservation for the specialty restaurants or any activities (the app is useless for these things), and the extremely hard sell for the “Club”. Oh, and surfboards are no longer an included item, but must be rented for 24hrs. Still, an enjoyable getaway.

They made us pay twice for a room we already paid for. When we arrived they tried to give us a small room with 2 twin beds and a garden view. We booked king suite with ocean view. I even called Expedia to confirm and they in turn med called hotel said can’t guarantee a king bed but a double bed. We got a double bed alright double single twin beds!!! We had to pay additional $1,600 for the room we already paid Expedia for!!! I heard someone tell me they were also doing this at Cabo. Then the sales pitch to buy something like time share as soon as we arrived. Don’t give us a minute or a glad of water. As they walked us to our room they told us we had to be at a certain place for bkfst. Then began their 2 1/2 hour sales pitch that was only suppose to be an hour. They are also not good at losing. The want the sale or else attitude city!!! Other than that, food was mehhh. 1 five star Italian restaurant, that’s it. Other restaurants and buffet needs to step up their game. The other employees were awesome especially housekeeping, mini bar and pool bar staff.

They didn't advertise that only 2 restaurants per night were open. The first night there was no hot water. The refrigerator didn't work. I pulled a massive clunp of hair out ofthe jacuzzi drain while trying to fix it so we didn't have the jacuzzi tub the first 2 nights until i called expedia and then they started fixing things

Stayed for 8 days and didn’t want to go home! This resort is a little older, which just added to its charm for us. Beautifully kept grounds, there always seemed to be somebody cleaning or landscaping. The adult infinity pool was fantastic. The bar certainly wasn’t stingy on the pours! Best beach area we have had at a resort in years, the ocean is beautiful here. We will be back for sure! Note: would be difficult to get around if you have mobility issues, lots of stairs and hills.

Definitely not a 5 star property, The room was one of the worst on the property, I ask to change it they would not accept the change claiming there was no roooms available they claim that my room reservation wast that type of room ask for a top room I got the bottom one the first floor next to the stairs definitely the worst room in the property. I would not recommend this place to anyone

We stayed for 6 nights. Staff are very kind and accommodating! We really enjoyed the buffet food- good selection every day with enough rotating dishes that you don’t get tired of anything. In my opinion the a la carte restaurants are nothing to write home about. Reservations fill up really fast and they are only available the day before so if you want a decent time you have to book very early in the morning. The pools are nice with the main pool being all ages with a swim up bar and an 18 pool which is a bit quieter and has nicer sun chairs and a better view. We went on a busy week and there’s nothing you can do about this but we had to be at the adult pool every morning before 7am in order to get a seat. The beach nice! Not too many rocks and soft sand. The ocean is too rough to go swimming but the resort offers surfing and boogie board rentals. Overall we had a good time! It’s smaller than other all inclusive’s we’ve stayed at so there’s definitely pros and cons to that.

Great family resort. Restaurant reservations were difficult with groups and the app didn’t work very well to reserve on. Good food and good selection at buffet. Wasn’t a fan of lunch options, buffet didn’t open till 1 and only served burger and hot dogs with tortilla chips at the beach so would have been nice to have more options. Overall great staff and good experience!

Gorgeous property. Beautiful beaches, with an enclosed Ocean swim area for kids. Property is spacious with multiple buildings separated by lovely paths. Paths are often over hills and may have relatively steep inclines — which could be challenging for some

The food was atrocious! $1000 dollars per day is definitely NOT worth it. Not even the sodas are good. They’re watered down. It’s horrible! I will never ever stay here again.

We really enjoyed the beach at this property. Very beautiful area to wander and relax in the sun or under a palapa (and sip on a margarita from the beach bar) The staff were exceptional in every way - from the front desk, to the spa to the exceptional service we received in the buffet and Ala cart restaurants. My nice has celiac disease and everyone was very attentive and made her a special meal every day for breakfast lunch and dinner. The resort itself is very tired and in need of a serious renovation. The rooms are very basic with little problems here and there (soap dispenser falling off the wall, patio door didn’t lock, closet doors don’t shut properly). Overall the rooms a quite dingy. And the patio was extremely small with very high walls which meant we couldn’t sit out there to enjoy our ocean view. Because it is on a hillside, there are many steps and hills throughout the property. We didn’t mind this and actually enjoyed it. If you are travelling with an elderly family member though, I’d stay somewhere else. Difficult for older folks or those with walkers. It’s about a 45 minute drive from the airport. We enjoyed the drive and our visits with our cab drivers, but some might prefer to be closer to town if you like to be near the action.

Things outside the all-inclusive were not told upfront instead we were given the requested item and then later told there was an additional charge. While booking the Tennis court they gave us balls and rackets and didn't turn on the lights and closed the place down. Inconsistencies while giving equipment. Overall very poor coordination. Lack of English doesn't help.

Absolutely no complaints. Staff was amazing! Biggest bonus was that you could be at the pool one minute and beach the next. So close and convenient. Lots of food options as well. Spa day a really nice treat with massage and hydrotherapy. Highly recommend the Grand Palladium 😁

We stayed for a week which turned out to be the week of clouds and rain, but we made the most of it and really enjoyed our stay. The resort is lovely, and my room was nice in a "garden view" at ground level (opposite side of building 1 from ocean/pool view). The view was a dirt area with a trail going past. I didn't use the patio as I was out and about during the day with family so I wasn't too concerned about the lack of garden and I enjoyed the room I had and location. The beach is beautiful and has lots of room for kids and adults to play. Fun to watch surfers and the whales. The pools were nice, although the temperatures were not consistent --- some days they were quite chilly. All of the staff I had contact with were fabulous -- friendly, helpful, smiling :) Entertainment was surprisingly really good -- the dancers, performers, and singers were very talented and the childrens' entertainment always seemed to be a hit. I packed light, expecting warm/hot weather, and really wished I'd packed some warmer clothes. Apparently the weather we had was really unusual for this area and time of year, but obviously is out of everyone's control. The gym is a decent size and has pretty much everything to have a good workout. There is lots of walking and stairs (no elevators), not suitable for all. The buffet was enjoyable, and the a la carte restaurants were really nice. Overall, the experience at this resort was really nice and we had a great family vacation.

My only complaint was the noise level. We stayed on the adult side and the music would play until 12am by the pool. It was not a very restful vacation because of that. Also the hallways outside our room was noice due to the heavy doors slamming and the staff picking up the dishes outside our room in the late evening. Other than the noice level the service was five star. Because the noice level was so high I probably will not stay here again.

Our room had a lot of black mold all over the bathroom. The property had rolling blackouts every night and sometimes during the day. The staffs response was always “someone must of hit a power line somewhere”. This beach for this place is very nice. Sand is amazing. Stayed at the resort next door before and the beach sucks so I was much happier putting up with above and having a nice beach. They have a nice sectioned off area to swim in. They have tide pool which had puffer fishes stuff in it at low tide. Was kinda cool to look at the fishes. Buffett Food was fine. Sit down dinner food options was better. This resort is best for its affordability. Secrets next door is 4-5x price and was like being stuck in James Bond evil villain lair. Was cool but not for the price of a much needed vacation on the beach.

I booked 8 rooms for guests of ours. I indicated at time of prepaying the bed requirements. I then confirmed a week prior. Upon checkin, 4 of the rooms were as required. Married couples were put in double bed rooms (2beds) and two singles were put in kings. As the host, I personally had to move 4 times to accommodate my guests and was told by staff, this is the last change… I had asked them if they had software or what as it appeared it was not important to require certain bed accommodations as their response is no guarantee until check in… but had they seen the room requirements they would’ve seen that they had what I needed but didn’t take the time to assign to the confirmed reservations. Very unorganized and very disturbing as an event coordinator.

Shuttles to and from Bucerius would be nice. Better food labels in buffet for people with allergies. It was hard to know what was in food. Guest Services was excellent as was the doctor on staff. Overall the resort is great.

I'd like to start off this review by commending the spa Personnel for an excellent experience. Unfortunately almost the entire staff from the Bellboy to the wait staff at the restaurants made it feel like they knew it was a all-inclusive but tried to squeeze every penny out of the you they could. Because of this it just wasn't a relaxing atmosphere. We booked a room with an ocean view and told we were upgraded to a larger nicer room but when we got there it may have been a little larger but we had an absolute horrible View. The air conditioning in the room broke down every day, every day we had to call the front desk and have a repairman come up to take a look at the AC to which we had to wait in the room for the repairman. The room across the hall and a couple doors down had a water line break which flowed underneath the door and into our room. Luckily we had all of our luggage up and none of our stuff got wet but it's still was an issue. The beach was beautiful and the swimming was nice. The saltwater pool down by the ocean was nothing more than a cesspool. There was no water exchange and there was dead crabs floating in there. They do have equipment to check out like surfboards boogie boards and some snorkeling equipment but none of it seemed very well maintained. The boogie boards were almost all cracked and falling apart, I don't surf so I can't comment on the surfboards. The snorkeling equipment will only work with people who have a clean shaven face. The buffet and restaurants were great. The kids water park was great. The staff were amazing and helpful. Most of the shows were really good. Kids club was great. Lots of things were broken in our room. The safe was broken every day. You have to wait for security to come and fix it so this item cost me 4 hours of my vacation. The bathtub drain was broken. No archery, No zoo, No crocodiles.No playground for children. If it rains there is absolutely nothing to do but drink. There is no shuttle from the airport so that cost us $160CDN. There and $75CDN to get back. The beds were like torture devices, very uncomfortable.

I’ve been to this resort 6-7 times over the last 20 years. The rooms have not been updated for some time and show their age. Despite that, the rooms are incredibly clean. The resort is currently making upgrades — staff advise the Palladium is trying to get a higher star rating. The restaurants were all terrific. Armando at the adult pool was our go-to. In his absence Omar and Diego did an equally terrific job. The Palladium has always been consistent with everything.

Checkin process was challenging as I booked 8 rooms four king and four double beds. I assigned names to these rooms so that couples got the king beds and friends got the double beds. I, as the host had to change rooms four times upon check in to get my guests the proper rooms which still didn’t occur.

We were offered an upgrade when we arrived but the upgrade wasn’t much of an upgrade, the room had an odd smell, the view was beautiful from the balcony! We did switch rooms but there was no offer to refund or rectify the situation other than switching rooms down the hall to a room that ended up having cockroaches and being similar to all of the other rooms that our family was in! There was no shuttle service included with the all inclusive and ended up costing my family quite a lot in taxi fees to and from excursions! It was a very beautiful resort, with amazing food, and staff and we did enjoy our stay despite the small problems! The staff are so beautiful and kind and we were truly blessed to make connections with some of them!
