“Great Location for visiting University of Vermont”
This hotel is located within walking distance to University of Vermont. It is also located only three to four miles from the airport. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. However, the walls are thin and you do hear conversations from neighboring rooms. Also, this hotel appears to be home to various bus loads of sports teams. We were put in a room next to a conference room that eventually was used for storage of ice hockey equipment. By the second day, our room had an odor of "smelly feet" that had come in through openings in a doorway that had adjoined both rooms. It was necessary to have housekeeping spray air freshener. Ask for a room that is away from the sports teams.
“As expected - very satisfactory”
I've stayed at the Sheraton in Burlington, VT, several times, and have never had a problem. The prices are a bit high, but I happened to get a room at a special price this time, and that made it even better! Very clean - very friendly - very convenient.
“Ok not great”
Pool clear encasement by bar and restaurant area. I would not go to pool area for that reason. Hotel charged 9.99 for each computer for Internet. Would probably stay again only for convenience but not any other reason. I will look into other hotels in area.
“exactly as expected”
The hotel has easy access. The pool and the exercise room are very excellent amenities.
“convenient comfortable clean what more could you ask for?”
This hotel was very convenient for my latest trip to pick up my son from UVM. The room was very clean..I even left a note for the people who clean the room to let them know that their effort was appreciated. The bed was SO comfortable! I hope to stay there again. UVM student's Mom
“"Hotel that should be a motel"”
I was excited to be going away for the weekend. I work hard all week, month after month, year after year. Any time I get to go away and try to relax is a bonus and a chance to wind down. As soon as I arrived I had to wait 20 minutes in line to check in.With a convention in town for the weekend you wouldve thought they could put more than 2 people at the desk. The room was comfortable but a little wierd with a window that looked into the main restaurant. After I get over over these minor details I find out theres no spa or even a steam room or sauna. So much for a relaxing weekend and a chance to unwind. Also the sunday morning brunch wasnt that great but the service was.
“Great Hotel”
This hotel was clean, had a great pool for the kids, an above average fitness room for the adults, and an adequate pub. It is an older hotel/conference center but it felt like we were in a hotel with some class. It was an easy drive into downtown Burlington and close to malls and shopping centers. Easy to access from a busy road too.
“WiFi Issue - Everything else good”
It was a good stay
“What a Let Down”
This hotel was way too expensive considering the poor quality. The hotel advertises that they have free wireless, which they do - in the lobby. If you want wireless in your room, you'll be paying per 24 hour block. The ceiling in our room had mold from water damage. The pool was clearly once an outdoor pool that they later decided to build around, making it an indoor pool. Now there pool is surrounded by windows, giving the user the feeling of being in a fishbowl. It's awkward to have diners and other patrons stare at your while you swim, just feet from the deck. Not to mention, the service was absolutely terrible.
“Second Visit”
The hotel dining, pool and computer area is just lovely, with open space, and soaring ceilings ,fountains and comfortable seating areas that are private, even in a large space. All the photographs are black and white on pale yellow walls and capture the beauty of Vermont. The lobby is lovely with a huge welcoming fireplace and big wingback chairs. The staff are very pleasent and helpful with directions for getting around the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean but there was an odor of mildew at the window where some of the wallpaper had gotten damp and was peeling away from the sill. The screens were not in good shape but we appreciated being able to open the windows for fresh air. This is the second time staying there. This time for pleasure and the other time for a conference. The conference space is great. The proximity to the University and city life is walkable or use of bus system. The hotel staff will drive you to airport which is only five minutes away. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.
