“OK for the price”

The room was clean and got everything you'd expect. It's includes continental breakfast. Free in-room wireless Internet. Can't pay less. I only stayed one night. Not much time to look around.

“Great place to spend a weekend shopping!”

Our first black friday shopping trip, this hotel was great! Clean rooms friendly service. The only complaint we had was the toaster was too slow!!.... It really was!

“Not quite what I had hoped for.”

Overall the room was adequately sized and clean looking, however throughout the hallway and in the room there was a strong scent of body odor mixed with a lingering touch of cigarette smoke, perhaps from a bygone indoor smoking time.

Area recommendations

Burlington rather than S.Burlington for an easier walk to downtown.

“as advertised”

If you've stayed at LaQuinta before you know what to expect. This one didn't disappoint. A good vaue for the money. Complimentary breakfast always a bonus.

“Met our needs, and nothing else.”

Check-in was fine, and our room was ready on time. When we first walked in, we found a strong smell which led me to confirm that the room was non-smoking, which it was. Beds were passable, and shower pressure/temperature were decent. Room was clean. A/C unit was so loud that we had to keep it off at night, even if it meant being warm. The vending machine in the hallway is also quite noisy. Breakfast was surprisingly decent. They have waffle making machines, and some muffins and hard-boiled eggs. Some front desk staff were knowledgeable about the area, and others were new and simply had no idea. Location is great. Right near Price Chopper, Barnes and Nobles and University Mall. Only a 10 minute drive to the waterfront and Church street (downtown Burlington). Overall, the hotel was passable and met our needs for our weekend getaway. We booked it last minute, so it had the best deal. However, it would not be my first pick when coming back in the future.

Area recommendations

Check out the waterfront right near Church street, which is in downtown Burlington. There are some great boat rides during the warmer season that could include a meal, for a reasonable price. It's a nice afternoon excursion, that usually last no more than 2 hours. As well, check out Mt Philo, which is only about 40 minutes from the hotel. It is a 30 minute hike, along a trail, with breathtaking views. Definitely worthwhile!

Shopping

University Mall and Burlington's Church Street are the best shopping areas that have something for everyone.

Outdoors or beach

Mt Philo is an excellent hike, only about 40 minutes from Burlington. It's only 30 minutes to the peak, along a trail, with breathtaking views!
