“Worst hotel ever! Overpriced for what you get. Don't stay at Hotel Adalbert!”
The Hotel Adalbert is drammatically overpriced for what you get especially with the selection of lovely hotels in Cesky Krumlov at the same price. What a mistake! In addition, in the Expedia ad they advertise a shutle to Linz and Vienna, Austria train station, which they don't have. This was the reason I booked with them. When I found out they supplied no such shuttle, we had to scramble to find transportaton to Linz train staion. The room was dusty and dark .There was no soap in the room and when I ask the male counterpart of the innkeeper for soap, he insisted that he had put soap in the room and when I told him there was no soap he gave me an argument and then finally said " I'll have to check" .The water pressure in the shower was like a trickle. The bed was like that of a pullout sofa and sagged in the center. The matress was very thin and lumpy. The breakfast (which was completely inadequate) consisted of some stale bread and hard boiled eggs and some chesse and you had to beg for a second cup of tea or coffee. I know European breakfast are not like American breakfasts, but this was ridiculous. My husband and I are world travellers but we have never experienced anything as bad as this on any level! The entire inn was very dark and even in the light of day you couldn't see where you were going when making your way through the hall back to your room. In Altogether a very bad experience! I suggest Expedia take Hotel Adalbert off it's list of offerings.
