“At least the a/c worked good!”

I went to Tunisia to get married and this was to be our honeymoon, 6 nights at the El Hana Beach Hotel. The price was right, a lot cheaper than other hotels in the area & that incl. breakfast & dinner, so I knew not to expect much, but couldn't they at least vacuum the rug before we checked in? There were spiderwebs hanging from the ceiling and mold on the ceiling. I saw a big cockroach in the bathroom which hadn't been repainted in many years. The phone on the bedside table was only there for decoration as the cord was hanging down one side. When I turned on the shower, the water squirted me in the face from the leak in the tap. The light fixtures had an electrical short in them & would flicker on & off. There was no TV in the room, which wasn't such a bad thing since we were on our honeymoon. On the plus side, the view from the balcony was very nice overlooking the Mediterranean & the a/c worked well, and since it was sooo hot this week, (40 C.), I was able to overlook the filth of the room. The food was just okay, and the staff were quite pleasant. The maid got a nice tip since my husband forgot his wedding ring on the bedside table. We called the hotel when we got back to Gammarth, but they wouldn't try & help us get it back. The ring is gone and I can assure you we will never stay there again. Traveler's Tip Category: saving

“You get what you pay for”

The Hana Beach is a resort hotel with mainly Russian and German visitors. Staff at the hotel is helpful, but it helps if you can speak German. The hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the sea, and our room was clean and had a balcony facing the sea. The air-con made all the right noises, but didn't work. The taps in the bath only closed when being yanked a few times with force. Food was alright, we didn't like the hot food at dinner time at all, so ate out after the first evening. All in all I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay in a good location in a clean room and can live with less than prefect maintenance and eating out.

“hotel El Hana Beach: usine à touristes, cher pour un clapier”

Cet hotel est une grande usine à touristes, sale et vieillissant, dès notre arrivée, nous avons vu que les draps étaient sales, ( cheveux, tâches !!!) juste tirés, ils ont été changés contre d'autres draps "propres" mais tachés +++ ils ne doivent pas connaitre la javel et la lessive !!! La salle de bains était sale également, la baignoire et le carrelage n'avaient sans doute jamais vu de produit d'entretien, les grandes baies vitrées de l'hôtel et les moquettes sont dégoutantes aussi Pour le petit déjeuner et le repas du soir c'est la bataille , pour trouver une table d'abord, puis pour avoir assiette et couverts, les plats ne sont vraiment pas attirants, pas bons du tout d'ailleurs, L'hôtel est très bruyant , De plus beaucoup de gens hurlent dans les couloirs très tard le soir, ne respectant pas du tout le sommeil éventuel des autres, Que dire de plus, sinon que nous en garderons un mauvais souvenir et que finalement il est très cher par rapport aux services, pas de télévision, clim en panne évidemment, saleté, bruit !!!

des problèmes de débit d'eau, les douches et du matériel des douches, le nettoyage des chambres et des autres communs, tout cela est très approximatif, pas de télé, j'y vais pour travailler et je ne suis exigeant que pour ce que je viens d'écrire, pour le reste je ne suis pas utilisateur, pour les repas rien de spé, rien d'exceptionnel mais varié

déçu par la qualité des repas, la nourriture n'est jamais assaisonnée, de piètre qualité, les entrées sont toujours les mêmes. la chambre laisse à désirer au niveau propreté. on vient chercher les serviettes dès 10 h du matin et on vous les ramène à 15 h, si vous souhaitez prendre une douche, pas facile. le personnel rentre bien trop souvent dans la chambre, sans en demander l'autorisation.l'hotel était rempli de russes, de techèques, de polonais mais aucune français, pour les conversations, pas facile.

“Super für kleine Geldbörsen”

Durch bisherige Hotelbewertungen war ich sehr skeptisch, aber ich bin wirklich positiv überrascht gewesen. Die Lobby, Rezeption, Restaurant, Bar, Zimmer etc. war alles sehr gepflegt und wurde auch jeden Tag gereinigt. Sicher fällt auf, dass das Hotel schon älter ist und es dort oder da ein kleines Wehwehchen hat, aber wenn man nicht zu den penetranten Nörglern gehört, ist das Hotel wirklich absolut ok! Zu vergleichen ist es mit einem 5* Hotel zwar nicht, aber wer - genau wie ich - sagt: Solange ich einen Balkon, ein sauberes Bett, Zimmer und Bad habe ist alles in Ordnung, der ist dort genau richtig! Es ist überall eine angenehme Atmosphäre und die Angestellten sind auch sehr nett! Aufdringlich oder unhöflich war gar keiner. Fremdsprachen werden von allen gesprochen, aber sie freuen sich auch sehr über ein "Aslema" (Hallo). Alles in allem war die Woche im El Hana Beach wirklich toll und der nächste Urlaub in diesem Hotel ist auch schon wieder gebucht :)
