I stayed 3 nights (thurs till sunday) and left with a great impression of the hotel and its beauty and even better impression of the service.
Rooms/grounds- to my surprise upon checking in we were shown to a 3 bedroom unit overlooking the water despite booking just a basic room and paying what i thought was very regular/standard prices for a hotel like the Gansevoort. My girlfriend and I were both amazed as the unit was incredibly spacious and the views of the beach were breathtaking. The room had walk-in closests/over-heard shower/outdoor deck to enjoy the water view. I can't say enough about how pleasantly surprised we were with the rooms!
Omar and Miguel were both exceptional in their attention to detail and interest that they took in us enjoying our trip. Omar arranged a car rental and trip to the waterfalls. He gave us his cell phone number incase we got lost and said he is around whenever to help. Also, we forgot to bring sunscreen so Omar left the facility to seek a brand of our choice. Miguel was very helpful in recommending nightlife and checked in with us frequently at the pool to make sure we had drinks/food whenever needed. It was just the right balance from both of them of attention to detail but allowing us space/privacy when we were relaxing. Also, Emanuel at Baia louge was excellent in looking after us as well.

THEY ARE FRIENDLY, HELPFULL,PROFESSIONAL AND ALL IN ALL GREAT. I LOOK FORWARD TO MY NEXT STAY WHEN IN THAT PART OF THIS REALLY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY
Enjoyed 4 nice days and evenings at Terra Linda.The staff were wonderful and very attentive to your needs?The maids were wonderful and made sure my room was cleaned around 10 am and left plenty of towels.The restaurant wait staff never missed a chance to provide very quick service with a smile along with awesome food,the pizza was the best!!!

I stayed at Garden by the Sea with my boyfriend for 5 days and we had an amazing time. From the second we arrived, Nikki (the owner) treated us like family. She made sure we had every resource we needed to enjoy our stay in the DR and frequently checked in on us to see if we needed anything else. She arranged a personal taxi to be waiting for us at the airport when we arrived, which we used throughout the trip to get around. She also arranged private surf lessons for us for a very reasonable price (if you are looking to surf, ask for Craig, he will get you up on a surf board in no time!). The breakfast every morning is great. Overall, if you are looking to explore the Puerto Plata/Cabarete/Sosua area, and want to come back to a clean, comfortable, safe hotel, I would not recommend staying anywhere else but Garden by the Sea.
this is a great little hotel. it located in the middle of the action. So you will hear the nightlife, but you don't go to Sousa to sleep. A lot place to eat, and there a little market three doors down. The staff is great, will stay there again
