Located on a pedestrian street with shops and restaurants. Very good restaurants close by, and safe to walk around at night. We walked down to the nearby marina for seafood. The restaurants were right on the water. We enjoyed the recommendations made by Roberta at the front desk. We loved that our room was modern and extremely clean. Lovely big shower. The small private terrace was just the place to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee first thing in the morning. Our daughter and her husband and 2 children were also staying there in a nice large room. The staff kindly accommodated us by serving breakfast for all of us together in the large room. I must say that breakfast was great with everything freshly prepared.

We stayed at Piazza Tasso for six nights. Plenty of time to appreciate the location, room and hospitality provided by Silvana. Silvana helped us on a daily basis with places to visit in and around Sorrento. Without exception her advice was spot on for restaurants, sightseeing and modes of transportation.
We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast on the balcony of our room each morning and a glass of Italian wine every night while we watched the action taking place in the Piazza. The location is perfect! Close to the train station (which is also the bus station), the harbor and smack in the center of town. The attention we received from Silvana and her staff was greatly appreciated.
Our favorite spot to dine was a small family owned (the Fisherman's Family) and operated (by Anna) at Marina Grande near the end of the pier. Well worth the walk!
We would not consider staying anywhere else in Sorrento now that we have been spoiled by Silvana and Piazza Tasso.
If you're looking for 5 star luxury, this is not the hotel for you. But if you want somewhere convenient to the rail/bus station and close to the town centre at a good price, this is the place. That price includes wi-fi, sky tv, room safe. Our room was kept extremely clean and, on arrival, Pasquale gave us his mobile number in case we had any problems during our stay in Sorrento. There were none, but he was always willing to give advice whenever we saw him.
Glad we booked.

This hotel was one of the best in our month-long trip to Italy. Very comfortable, close to everything - town, ferry, train, but not noisy or crowded area. Great for walking. The staff at the hotel were always helpful and friendly. In addition to great breakfast and view of Mt Vesuvius, the hotel was visitor-friendly with retractable clothesline in the bathtub, much appreciated! Also two pools, one good for laps, which is always nice.

All the staff were very friendly, helpful and extremely hard working. We had a room with a balcony overlooking a lemon grove and beautiful wooded hills - perfect for an evening drink (the fridge in the room had water, juice and beer for only 1 euro each). Wonderful breakfast with lots of choice, we particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salad and the freshly cooked pancakes. Had the best fish I have ever tasted at their restaurant Re food ( a five minute walk away). Very good location - five minutes from the train/bus station and ten to the beaches and port for boats to Capri etc. Very close to Tasso square yet in a quiet area, felt very safe walking back at night. We stayed a week and would have loved to have stayed for longer. Hope to return in the autumn or spring.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English which was nice. The room was very quaint, beachy ant clean. It was a chilly weekend and it could have been a little warmer in the room. That would be my only moderate complaint. We would definitely stay there again!
