“Oasis near Sorrento”
We loved this small boutique hotel. I can’t believe it’s only rated 3 stars ... should be 4 star facility with 5 star service. Beautiful landscaped gardens and a large elegant villa greet you as you pass the front gate. After a long day of site-seeing (in very busy & crowded Sorrento, Amalfi or Capri) it’s wonderful to come back to this oasis. Breakfast is outstanding with different selections each day.....the setting is elegant and inviting. Angela is a wonderful host who provides personal tips and guidance on how to get the most out of your stay based on your unique interests. We visited Ravello based on Angela’s recommendation and enjoyed it much more than Amalfi. It’s a 20+ minute walk into Sorrento or short bus ride. Only 10 minutes from the Sant’ Agnello train station. (ie for Pompeii, Naples etc). We had all our evening meals close by because we prefer the quieter setting....many good restaurants in the area. We like it quiet...on the flip side if you prefer the buzz of Sorrento you’ll need to consider whether this is too far out for you. After a full day of sightseeing that 20+ minute walk seems much further.
“It's *RELAIS* fantastic!”
Our hostess was lovely and the villa itself was beautiful. The pool and garden of fruit trees are probably the best bits of this villa, both were completely tranquil even though the villa was so close to bustling Sorrento. Actually scratch that - the best bit by far was the insanely delicious home-cooked breakfast which was so generous. We were also given mosquito repellent by the pool which was a very kind touch, and the rooms were cleaned very well. This is probably one of the most pleasant places you can stay in Sorrento for the price - it feels very private and cosy. We really enjoyed our time there and were made to feel comfortable and looked after. Thank you very much to Angela.
“Sain't Agnello”
The owner of the hotel and the staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. One example of this was when we had arrived the owner had upgraded our room because she had the availability and instead of the room being unoccupied gave it to us. It is about a twenty five minute walk into Sorrento from the hotel but we preffered being a little bit further out and enjoyed the walk. There is a bus but the timetables weren't available so we didn't get it. Taxi cost 15 Euro's each way for a two minute ride so isn't cheap. It's also a ten minute walk from the Saint Agneello train station and the bus stop for the bus to and from Naples Airport. The Moonlight restaurant which is just round the corner is also highly recommended and is a lot cheaper than the resteraunts in Sorrento with the same quality of food.
“Beautiful and tranquil. Will go back over and over again.”
How Relais villa Savarese can be rated as a 3* establishment is anybody’s guess. OK, so it hasn't got a bar nor a restaurant but it is all the better for it. Don’t think of Relais villa Savarese as a hotel but more like your own private, discrete and beautiful villa and you are sort of there. We spent a week towards the end of June there. Angela, the lovely and extremely helpful owner upgraded our room without us requesting it. Our room was lovely, large and comfortable with a small terrace opening to the beautiful garden. Breakfast was sumptuous and the dining room to die for. As far as I could tell, there were a number of other guests during our stay but we almost always had the sole use of the beautiful swimming pool. Angela and her helpers were always courteous, friendly and above all knowledgeable and helpful. The villa is in Sant'Agnello and not in Sorrento but for us this was a plus as you could walk to the centre of Sorrento in 20 minutes but take refuge in the more quiet and tranquil Sant'Agnello at the end of the day. Absolutely wonderful.
“Peaceful Bliss”
We both very much enjoyed our stay. Far enough from the crowds, but near enough to walk off all the lovely Italian food. Public transport is very punctual and about a third of the price of the UK. The hotel was clean, quiet and much more suited to more mature childless couples. Yes I would return, but only after visiting other Italian locations.
“Lovely small hotel”
I think there was only 8 rooms (l could be wrong), the villa grounds are beautiful, the pool a good size to have a swim in and kept very clean. Breakfast was delightful and all the staff were very helpful. The one main problem with this hotel is that they don't have any parking..you can park on the roads outside but not always an easy tasks, plus you have to obtain parking tickets which we were only able to obtain 1 or 4 hour!! We travelled with friends and had rooms 1 & 2..room 2 was lovely was a bright sunny room with a nice out look to the pool. We had room 1 which was very dissappointing, very DARK and felt damp. As hotel full we could not change our room. Overall, a lovely hotel to escape to with only a 15-20 minute (boring) walk into Sorrento.
“We loved this Hotel!”
This our second time to this elegant, sophisticated hotel, set in wonderful tranquil surroundings. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they can't do enough for you and gladly give you all sigthseeing information you require for your stay. The rooms are elegant and comfortable with everything you require. The breakfasts include home made Italian dishes and are absoultely delicious, with a different array of tempting tarts, pastries and cakes every day! We can't recommend this Hotel enough, it is lovely!
“Lovely Property, Even nicer service”
I stayed here for 4 nights and I wish I hadn't bothered traveling to Rome afterwards. This hotel was on a lovely quiet street and gated. It was as if you entered a tranquil world. The innkeeper and her staff made us feel very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing every morning, with pastries and fresh fruit. The pool was nice, but would probably be best savored in the warmer months of July/August. Fragrant lemon and orange trees line the property. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was well stocked with soaps, shampoos and fresh towels daily. There is also free wifi if so remember to take your computer. Could not have asked for more! Thank you Villa Savarese.
“Loved it!”
Sensational service in a sensational setting. The hotel and gardens exude graceful sophistication and the staff are endlessly helpful and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.
“Schöne, alte Villa in herrlichem Garten”
