An oasis in a busy city

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Relais Villa Angiolina is located in a residential area about 10 minutes easy walk from the train. It is down the end of a little lane, a bit hard to find as it's location is not correct on Google Maps. We emailed the Relais and were sent a map which made getting there much easier. It is in a quiet area but within easy walking distance of all the tourist areas in Sorrento. Room was modern, clean, well designed and wi-fi worked well. Lovely staff and simple but tasty continental breakfast served in beautiful garden setting.

Excellent Sorrento small hotel

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable, quiet room and friendly staff.
Cons: Bigger sign where the small road begins for first time guests on foot
Location: Walk to town, laundry, train station. Also Sorrento is very central for day trips to Amalfi, Pompeii, and Capri. The locals are very friendly too.
Once you find Villa Angiolina, you will delight in their location, (walk to everything), the friendly and helpful staff, the spacious and comfortable room, the fresh breakfast, and beautiful gardens. We spent 3 days here in Sorrento and it was one of the best lodging choices of 9 stops while touring Italy. Thanks. Highly recommended.

A little oasis in a central location.

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: beautiful garden, friendly accommodating staff.
Cons: rather difficult to locate, perhaps better bigger signage from main road.
Location: easy stroll to central piazza & sorrentos main attractions. Easy access to Capri via ferry
beautiful gardens greet you at this intimate hotel. centrally located it is ideal for exploring all that Sorrento has to offer.

Quiet, reasonably close to centre

Posted 22-Sep-2014
Lovely B&B but that is really what it is. Most guests only stay 2/3 nights we stayed 10 and I would not recommend that length of stay. Although the hotel and staff are very nice it lacks any atmosphere so you could not really spend and time there as there is nothing to do and feels a bit isolated. The room was nice with private terrace but would benefit greatly from tea/coffee making facility and given the number of guests of different nationalities who could speak some English it would be good if the TV could have at least one English language channel. Apart from that it is a haven of tranquility from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento if all you want is an early night.

A beautiful hotel set in wonderful surroundings

Posted 03-Sep-2014
Pros: Exceptionall. Everything is of very high standard. Spotlessly spacious rooms and delightful seating area amidst a beautiful garden.
Cons: Faultless
Location: 10-15 minutes away from the centre and Bus/train station where you can go to Amalfi coast, Pompeii etc. A walk to the Marina Grande is a must.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. It is a top notch hotel, ran by the most professional and friendly people, definately nothing too much bother for them. If we were in this area again we would have no hesitation in staying here and will definately be recommending it to our friends.

Great stay and great find. You won't regret it!

Posted 23-Aug-2014
Pros: If was really clean, modern and the rooms were well appointed.
Cons: Not anything
Location: Location good near enough to town, difficult to find not as accurate on google maps.
Was originally going to the large hotel up the road but it was quite expensive during bank holiday week and last time the staff were impersonal you know who you are. This was a really great find, set in a garden of kiwi fruits, lemons and pomegranate. The staff were excellent very friendly and helpful and the rooms very good and clean. Breakfast was perfect, we really liked it. Really liked it, would go back here in a minute

Nice secluded location

Posted 08-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel was nice and clean and the air conditioning was great in the room. The breakfast was well done and enjoyable. The proximity to the town and shopping was ok, about a 10-15 min walk. The only difficulty is the location, it is at the end of a narrow dead end street. Our driver had difficulty locating it and then found that he had no place to stop and unload our luggage and had to back up the long narrow street to get out. This is the one caveat that I would put on this hotel. It was very nice other than that and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Quite Nice!

Posted 05-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff was great in helping us handle some of the problems we encountered during our trip. The breakfast was wonderful and the air conditioner probably worked better than any other on our trip. The room was pleasant except for a strange musty odor and the bath towels are passed their prime. No views here if you are looking for a seaside room and it is a bit of a walk to get to the downtown area, but manageable. The surrounding area is mostly a few other boutique hotels and residential apartments.

Nice, peaceful and relaxed

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Peaceful and relaxed environment
Cons: Wish the bar had stayed open late more frequent as most evenings it had closed when we got back to our roomqq
Location: Very close to all the main eating places and shops, less than 10 minute walk
The staff were attentive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble in every aspect. Look forward to coming back and celebrating my next Birthday there.

Lovely hotel, beautiful garden!

Posted 24-Jun-2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, staff friendliness, beautiful garden
This hotel was a real find - tucked away in a peaceful area with a beautiful garden. The staff were friendly & cheerful, and the breakfast was excellent! We were able to walk to all the main attractions - around 5 mins from the main town centre, 10 mins to walk from the train/ bus station & beach, 15 mins from the ferry port & marina. The hotel was so peaceful. We would not hesitate to go back & would recommend to anyone!
