“Perfect place to stay in central Sorrento - Would stay there again!”

Spotlessly clean hotel just 50m from a central plaza and about 750m from the train station and airport bus drop off point. Nice continential breakfast with lovely veranda overlooking the street. At night the hotel is within 50m of central Sorrento's busy cafe/restaurant district but the room we had (at the rear of the building) was quiet with the windows shut (the room aircon worked well). The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would be pleased to stay there again.

“3 Star Heaven!”

This is a charming, family run pension. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and attractive. Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace with lemon trees among the tables. NOTE:: the coffee put out is terrible, but they will make you great espresso and cappucino if you ask! There is a library of the latest tour books for the area and Italy -- along with a selection of novels in various languages! The owners and other employees speak English and were very helpful -- although their posted ferry and train schedules are not always up to date. The only drawback was also an advantage: Hotel del Corso is on the main street of Sorrento! The rooms are not on street level, but we were one floor up. If it had not been summer, so that the air conditioner was on whenever we were in the room, I think the street noise would have been hard to take -- especially on Saturday night! Our room overlooked one of the alleys filled with shops and restaurants, and it was buzzing from 11 am and into the night. Maybe requesting a room on the 3rd floor would help. There is also no internal elevator -- stairs are required to reach rooms, breakfast, the computer and the roof. I have some walking impairment, so that was hard on me, but for anyone fit it's not a problem -- and I managed! By the way, the roof is lovely, with comfortable seating, small tables, and a great view of the town and the bay. Hardly anyone uses it -- and it's perfect for sharing a bottle of wine at sunset!

“Sorrento's gem”

I booked this hotel based on previous reviews, proximity to the center of town, and price. What we got was a steal. We had a balcony that overlooked a pedestrian shopping street (no cars allowed.) The restaurants and shops made for an authentic Italian experience. Best of all, they closed at 11, so it was never loud when we were trying to sleep.

“sorrento”

Pros: Excellent location. Comfortable, clean, nice size rooms. Balcony was nice. English speaking, very friendy and helpful staff. Cons: Could improve the breakfast. The maids were too loud in the morning and made it impossible to sleep in.

“Good basic hotel, great location!”

The hotel is small and nice with a great location to walk everywhere. Good base to explore the Amalfi coast. The family that runs the hotel can provide you with information and maps of Sorrento.

“Exudes friendliness”

All the staff at Hotel Piccolo Mondo were friendly and very helpful. We arrived late in the evening and were warmly greeted by Pietro who checked us in and made sure we were comfortably situated in our room. The breakfast staff provided us with items we needed that were not already available at the good breakfast they provided. When we departed they provided us with a free bottle of water which was greatly appreciated. This is a great place to stay when making the trip by car from Sorrento to Messina. We were unable to get the Wi-FI to work from our room, but it worked fine from the breakfast/lobby area.

“Great location”

I would definitely return to the Del Corso. It is in a terrific location and has a great little roof terrace. If you are looking for 5 star luxury then this is not the place for you; we just wanted somewhere that we could lay our heads at night. The rooms were clean and adequate for all our needs. The staff were helpful and as mentioned the roof terrace is a great little place to enjoy the sunset. Overall I would go back and stay there again.

“Seeing the Italian Coast”

Smaller family owned hotel in the heart of Sorento that was truely delightful and very relaxing. The extended family that owns and operates the hotel was very helpful in suggesting several good restaurants. We requested a quiet room to the back of the hotel which was just that. No view of the ocean which was fine as we spent most of our time at other towns or out on the streets of Sorento. The hotel was more economical than those that offered ocean views. Excellent continental breakfast with fruit, yogurt, fresh juice, etc.

“Can't wait to go back”

Can't wait to go back. The hotel staff really friendly and helful. The location perfect for everything. Our bedroom really spacious and cleaned every day.Hotel had a nice roof terrace. Only complaint was the dining area very narrow and got a bit congested!!! Breakfast a bit boring could do with some variety. Overall lovely stay.
