“Too far from Sorrento and/or shops for nervous drivers.”

Super hotel and stunnung views with quality restaurant. Would highly recommend its terrace for a wedding (which we witnessed as bystanders) or any event where you don't intend to stray from the hotel. However, it is located a half a mile walk (up/down steep hill) from any shops, has no pool, no recreation amenities (except bars), and doesn't have its own beach access, no pool. So the question is, how good a platform for touring the local (very beautiful and interesting) area? The answer depends upon whether you are willing to hire a car and your stress tolerance. Local drivers, parking and roads are a nightmare, hiring - not for the feint hearted! Naples is the motoring equivalent of "the jungle", and local roads on the Sorrento Penisular are blighted by drivers, particularly scooters, that have no cognisance of stop signs, no overtaking and other restrictions. I regularly drive in Central London, but that's relaxing compared to this. Best idea is to stay directly in Sorrento (n.b. take bus from airport), and get an "all day rover" pass to use excellent railway service to Pompeii, Vesuvious, Naples etc. Shame really, as the hotel is genuinely excellent apart from this.

“Magical stay in Sorrento”

Hotel Corallo was a clean, bright and modern hotel with stunning views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There is access to the private beach (for a charge of about 8 euro pp) an town of sorrento is a approx 40 min walk away.

“Excellent Hotel and Beautiful View of the Sea”

The Hotel Corallo was great! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Their English skills were very good. Breakfast was very good. I had read online that there were laundry services through the hotel. I assumed a self-service arrangement, but they actually contracted with a local laundry. That particular service was not going to work for us, because we arrived on a Friday late-afternoon and were only staying one night. No weekend service was available. The hotel was helpful and recommended another self-serve laundry in town. I walked to that particular business, arriving around 7:00 p.m. They just happened to still be open and told me that if I got my clothes together, they would pick them up, wash them and deliver them back to the hotel by 10:30 p.m. I did -- and they did, too! It was amazing service (and only a 9 Euro price tag!). The real value of Hotel Corallo is the view. The pictures on the website do not capture the beauty of this place. We happened to be there at a perfect time in terms of the weather -- 70 degrees. I thought we had died and gone to heaven! Definitely would stay there again -- and recommend you do, too!

“Great hotel for a great price, close to Sorrento city center!!!”

The hotel itself is very beautiful, and well-kept. Many terraces that overlook the beautiful dark blue Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, where you can go to have a coffee, drink, or just admire the view. The staff is extremely helpful and will answer any questions you have about places to visit, getting around the area, getting to and from the airport, etc. The rooms are a great size, and if you're lucky enough to get one that overlooks the sea you will not be disappointed with the view. Within walking distance to the actual city of Sorrento, or else there are small buses you can take to get there. Overall, great stay at a great price!

“Disgusting bathrooms”

We only spent two days in sorrento and it was too long! The bathrooms were disgusting. They were small and had a flood everytime we tried to take a shower. there were boogers on the shower curtain, hairs on the floor,& what they call an airconditioner that NEVER got cold. I would NOT stay there even if it was free.

“What a view!”

The rooms were average, they were not very sound proof (you could hear people talking in the lobby one floor above us and early every morning you could hear the staff dragging chairs across the patio, but the view from our balcony & from the outdoor patio made up for everything! It was absolutely breath taking. Every evening after a long day of walking, we would sit out on the patio with a bottle of wine & watch the sun set. The front desk supplied us with wine glasses (they allowed us to BYOB instead of buying from the bar). The breakfast was better than average & the service from the hotel staff was excellent. I would suggest to bring a pair of ear plugs (I always carry them with me!) & you should love the place!

“Eines der besseren Hotels in Sorrent”

Die Lage des Hotels ist Top, die Aussicht auf den Golf von Neapel wunderbar, wenn man tatsaechlich ein Zimmer mit freiem Blick auf diesen Golf erhaelt, dazu gibt es Zimmer mit super- schmalen Balkonen, auf die man sich regelrecht zwaengen muss. Unser Zimmer entsprach ueberhaupt nicht den im Internet gezeigten, es war sehr dunkel, alte Moebel. Das Hotel ist extrem hellhoerig, man hoert jedes Geraeusch, dafuer gibt es keinerlei Strassenlaerm, wie sicher in vielen der anderen sorrentinischen Hotels. Das Fruehstueck war ok, netter Service durch das Hotel-Personal, aber eben auch nicht mehr. Der nahegelegene "Strand" ist super- teuer und einfach nur schlecht, den wuerde ich niemals empfehlen. Trotzdem wuerde ich das Hotel empfehlen um von hieraus die tolle Gegen zu erkunden, alles Sehenswerte und schoene Straende sind von hieraus mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Die Erwartungen an das Hotel sollten sollten deutsche 2-3 Sterne nicht ueberschreiten.
