“Wonderful breakfast”

Probably due to Sorrento itself being a package vacation destination full of Americans, this was the best hotel we stayed in during our two week multi-city trip in Italy. Spacious room well decorated and the bathroom surprisingly came with a tub - all the other hotels we stayed in Italy had only a tiny walk in shower. Staff was friendly and helped us plan our one and half days in the area. Provided us updates about the highway closures to Almalfi and made recommendations to out itinerary to Capri and Pompeii. Breakfast was great. A good combination of American breakfast and Italian styly. Not a lot of hot options as you would find at a typical North American breakfast, but the eggs looked organic to me. Variety of fresh fruit and baked goods were second to none.

“Lived up to high expectations.”

This was our first trip to Sorrento and we had checked hotel reviews before picking the Antiche Mura. We were not disappointed. They were happy to organise transfers for us which we could not do through Expedia. A bit more expensive than the internet providers but we felt we had the assurance of the hotel backing us. On arrival we were greeted warmly by the receptionist and shown to our rooms which were large and comfortable with a table and chairs to sit round for card games in the evening. Cleanliness was astounding and although not eco-friendly we had crisp fresh sheets every day and towels twice a day ! The restaurant and bar staff were happy to chat and talk about the area and life in general. Breakfast was a buffet with a very wide choice of savoury and sweet items. The pool bar was open for its final week in late October and we found the snacks good and favourably priced in comparison to the local cafes. The pool and garden were secluded at the back of the hotel looking over the gorge with trees and plenty of chattering birds.

“Fanstastic Hotel!”

This hotel is fantastic!!! The location is perfect...you are right in the middle of everything but still don't hear too much traffic or noise. The staff is the most helpful I have ever experienced anywhere. The hotel is clean and beautiful and our room was great! It was our honeymoon and the staff sent us a bottle of champagne with congratulations. The breakfast is wonderful and beautifully presented. I would stay at this hotel again any time and actually look forward to it! Sorrento is lovely by the way!!!!

“Excellent hotel”

Excellent hotel just off the main square so in a great location for all that Sorrento has to offer. Booked a 'comfort room' with a balcony. Cleanliness excellent; clean bed linen & towels every day. Pool is small but set in the garden surrounded by lemon trees. Breakfast is excellent very good choice & lunches by the pool are super. Hotel don't do dinner but just around the corner are all the cafes/resturants you could want. Would definitely stay here again.

“Great place to stay in Sorrento”

The Antiche Mura is a perfect location, just a short walk from the train station and a block off the main square/old town area. It lacks a view of the water, but has a lovely pool area surrounded by lemon trees and a snack bar. And despite being in the center of town, it's quiet. Service was excellent, as was the breakfast - included eggs, breakfast meats, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juices, and a huge variety of cookies & cakes. The room was good-sized and comfortable. Only two minor issues: the hairdryer was terrible (thankfully we brought our own) and it was a bit challenging to regulate the temperature at night, as the air conditioner blew right on us, so we were either cold or if we turned it off, too warm. I would highly recommend this hotel, and wouldn't hesitate to choose it again if I return to Sorrento.

“Can't Wait to go back. An Amazing Hotel.”

From the start this we knew this was going to be amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful and always took time to ensure we were enjoying our stay and if we had any queries/requests. The breakfast was out of this word and definitely added to the whole experience and the girls serving in the morning were very professional and friendly. The pool area was beautiful as it was surrounded by Lemon and Lime trees. I can safely say that our experience at the Antiche Mura truely made our time in Sorrento one to remember and we cant wait to go back.

This is a beautiful hotel - and the benefit of it being small is you get a lot of attention from the staff. The staff have a lot of knowledge on the surrounding area; places to visit and places to eat. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone wanted to visit this very beautiful part of Italy.

“Really great hotel”

Central location but just off the main square so no noise. Hotel beautifully maintained, lovely pool area in amongst lemon and lime trees - a lovely place to relax. Really friendly staff with a great breakfast service on the terrace, which was a fabulous way to start the day. Hotel within easy walking distance of the station so good location to visit the sites such as Pompei.
