“A very comfortable hotel - recommended”
The five star Hotel is very good, staff are excellent, evening meals (half board package) were good, but there was no specific children's menu. Location was a little out of Sorrento, no problem for us as we had a hire car
“"Fantastic!!!"”
The hotel is extremely decadent from top to bottom, the staff are extremely helpful & very pleasant. Our room was clean, bright & beautifully furnished, with a small balcony overlooking the pool & with a sea view & air con. We only stayed B&B but the breakfast buffet was great, everything you could think to have for breakfast was there! The waiters were attentive & very pleasant. The pool was small but adequate, pool towels were provided. The only down side to this hotel is that nothing is sign posted, so you have to ask a member of staff how to find things, i.e. we could see the pool, but didn't know how to get to it, we had to ask if & where there was an iron we could use. It would have been helpful if this info had been on the info sheet that is in the room. But all in all, a really fantastic hotel!
“great hotel, great price”
beautiful, quiet room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the pool. Shuttle bus service essential!
“Perfect Honeymoon Location, but crazy drivers!”
The Hotel was first class! Excellent service from all staff, the condition of the Hotel was superb, and our room was spacious and immaculate. Upon arrival, I noted that there is ample parking (for those of you brave enough to drive)!!! The Hotel reception area is grand and impressive, and the reception staff were very courteous and helpful. We made our way to our room and again, were impressed. It was very clean, spacious and quiet, and they'd even left us a gift pack of Limoncello..nice! The Hotel itself is about 3km or so away from Sorrento, but they do provide regular shuttle bus services between them both. I thought this was a nice touch at the time, but become even more valuable when I asked a taxi driver in Sorrento how much it was to the hotel and they told me about 20 euro's!! Food? A different menu each night, with at least 5 starters and 5 main courses, a salad bar, and a choice of at least 3 desserts, not to mention a selection of cheeses. The food was cooked to order and was consistently excellent. My only criticism was that the wine was quite expensive, but I don't think I was alone in that observation as many tables in the restaurant were drinking bottled water as opposed to wine - perhaps Hotel La Pace should take note of that. The facilities were also very good. Pool was a decent size, sun loungers were comfortable and plentiful (no getting up at stupid o'clock to lay towels down)! Gym, sauna & jacuzzi - also very good! In summary the Hotel rates 5* from me!
“Excellent hotel”
The hotel was to a very high standard and extremely clean. House keeping was twice a day and the rooms were always immaculate. Breakfast was very good with an excellent choice. A shuttle bus was provided which was useful for getting into and back from Sorrento. All the staff are very friendly. The only thing which may not appeal to all is that the hotel is a 10 minute walk from Sant Agnello centre however the standard more than makes up for it. Room service and meals are not 24 hrs and finish at 9pm(ie we arrived late but staff directed us to a late restaurant). Good car parking compared to other hotels. Would def recommend.
“Great trip”
A very comfortable hotel, well maintained, with very helpful staff. Food is good with buffet breakfast Pool bar for lunch, basic menu however thats all we really wanted and food was nicely prepared. Dinner was good as well with choices from set menu and good value at 25 euros per person. The hotel is located just outside Sorrento in St Agnello, which proved to be a good location as Sorrento can be very busy! There is a bus to and from the hotel at convenient times to Sorrento and you can easily walk into St Agnello though a taxi back is a better option! Our room was very comfortable indeed and spacious even with the two children's beds. Pool, though not huge, was never really busy while we were there and we spent several days relaxing on the sun lougers. On balance very good value for money and a nice holiday for all the family.
“Great Hotel If You Need Parking”
The hotel was very clean. Service was very good. Good English spoken through out. We stayed half-board and the meals were good. Great hotel if you have a car. Hotel runs a good free shuttle service in to Sorrento. Pool was excellent, and there was always spare sun loungers. I would recommend this hotel.
“BEAUTY”
We took train from Rome to Naples on 16 July, then picked up hire car. Hotel a bit difficult to find, up a narrow road, but worth it. As we had car location not a prob. We were royaly greeted by Marie-helen, speedy check in and she took us to our room near the pool. Bottle of champs and some fresh fruit as a nice welcome gesture Nice! Room average size and spotless, comfy bed air conditioning (90 degrees) boy did we need it for our 3 night stay. Would call this a good four star not five. Pool was fantastic, warm well looked after and clean.Child friendly as it has underwater platforms around edges of pool. Plenty of sun loungers and towels supplied from the bar. Breakfast buffet was excellent from a bespoke omelette scrambled eggs bacon sausages to pastries wow after Rome hotels this hit the mark. So fill up. The Hotel provides a free shuttle to take you out to a restaurant, we had our car so passed on this one. Sorrento couple of miles further on buses are cheap and Sorrento cute, plenty of shops and restaurants.
“5 star hotel, but off the beaten track”
Wonderful hotel, superb service, excellent and varied evening menu, great buffet breakfast. Staff very helpful & friendly, everyone spoke English. Great pool at the hotel & nice poolside bar for drinks & snacks. However if you don't have your own transport & aren't part of a tour party then you must rely on the hotel shuttle bus service to Sorrento or walk about a kilometre to get a local bus. Not too bad walking down hill but walking back uphill to the hotel in the heat it feels a lot further away! The shuttle service could be a little more frequent as it serves 2 hotels and I would have even paid a small sum if it made it more frequent. This aside I cannot recommend the hotel itself more highly!
“At the Top of the Hill”
The hotel is located about 2 miles fron centre of Sorrento on a hill above St Angello. The hotel provides a regular coach service to and from the hotel to the centre of Sorrento during the day; however if you want to stay in Sorrento past 11pm you will need to find alternative arrangements. The hotel has limited car parking, and as a result will look after your car and move it when it needs to; we had no issues with this arrangement. The half board option was good value for money and there was a different menu for each day of the week. Food was not 5 star but certainly ample at both breakfast and dinner; I guess I would rate it 3-4 star but hey you are not paying 5 start prices. Drinks have to be paid for at Dinner but not breakfast. The SPA is great and cheap although not well advertised. Prices were below average for 50 minute full body massage. All hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The pool is small, clean and about 1.3m deep. The views from the pooside were amazing. You need to pay for rooms with a view if that is what you want. The walk into Sorrento took 30 minutes on a busy road. There are no paths walking down the hill for first 10 minutes. There is a very small italian shop about 5 minutes down hill from hotel. English newpapaers are available in Sorrento on a daily basis. Hotel very quiet at night. drinks from bar and around pool were expensive. Limited TV channels included CNN and BBC world news. Hotel will arrange sight seeing trips.
