Nice hotel

Posted 23-Nov-2014
Not the easiest hotel to find initially if walking from bus station but once found its a good location to Sorrento centre. Only issue was the room had no real wi-fi connection to speak of and it kept dropping out and our iPhones and iPad needed a re-key of the password which became frustrating. Long black hair assumed to be the cleaners were found on bathroom floor and bed linen.

Superb Hotel, Highly Recommended

Posted 04-Nov-2014
Pros: The Hotel was unique, privately owned, with lemon trees and secret gardens. Had our own garden terrace with fresco and waterfalls.
Cons: Cannot think of a single thing!
Location: Just off the centre of Sorrento in a quiet street. Many shops, restaurants nearby. Short walk to a lift that takes you to the Bay.
Best Hotel we have ever stayed in. Friendliness of staff, cleanliness of room, turn down service in the evening, choice and quality of breakfast, situation of Hotel in beautiful Sorrento, views from rooftop bar and swimming pool all first class. The list could go on and on. Would definitely recommend.

Luxurious hotel with great views from roof top bar

Posted 25-Oct-2014
Pros: Luxurious interior in typical Italian style. The roof top bar is stunning and the prices very reasonable for lunch and romantic dinner.
Cons: Complimenatry Bottled water in room. Expect of five star hotel as standard. No tea and coffee making facilities.
Location: Very close to centre and the Market area and the beach. Ideally placed for everything. Station and aeroporto bus and nice restaurants. Felt very safe.
Easy to find and very conveniently placed. Rooms stunning and rest of the hotels equally fantastic. Staff very pleasant and warm.excellent breakfast. Can eat outside which we did as the weather was lovely.

Fabulous hotel with excellent customer service

Posted 08-Oct-2014
Pros: Location, facilities and rooftop pool and bar/restaurant
Cons: Heated swimming pool as the water was very cold! The free wifi also kept losing connection
Location: Central location close to shops, restaurants and bars, short walk to the beach although steep walk down a lift is available . Good public transport
We stayed for 7 nights in September 2014 and really didn't want to leave. The hotel has everything you could ask for, good location, beautiful clean rooms and friendly but professional staff. We were bed and breakfast, the breakfast choice was fabulous, but chose to eat in the hotel rooftop restaurant twice as the food was so good.

Stunning views, classy decor,excellent position.

Posted 06-Oct-2014
Pros: Beautiful and stately, marvellous position and gorgeous views across the bay and towards Vesuvius,All the staff were a credit to the hotel, delightful.
Cons: We were situated in a room to the side,I suspect above the kitchen area,we didn't manage a good nights sleep throughout the 4 nights that we stayed
Location: Abundance of choices on what to do,both locally and venturing further afield, only had four days so we were limited on this occasion ,
This was a surprise for my wife's 'special' birthday, and to be totally truthful rather more extravagant than we could normally aspire to.Without doubt the hotel itself is truly beautiful, the views from the upper terrace were just breathtaking. Each and every member of staff that we encountered were courteous, friendly, professional and welcoming to say the least. The breakfast buffet was beautifully presented, with a varying choice to suit most, with the option of cold and hot offerings some of which was freshly cooked to order ( omelette for example ) .the restaurant that breakfast was served in was reflective of the whole elegance of the hotel, the entire establishment oozed quality and taste. The location was also second to none for the immediate access into the town itself. All in all a genuinely unforgettable experience, which unfortunately had a flip side for us, for whatever reason we were given a room to the right hand side of the hotel, which in itself was spotlessly clean, very tastefully presented and in the elegant and classy styling in keeping with the overall standing of La favorita. We only had four nights booked and so made the best of the situation but I can truthfully say that neither my wife nor myself had one good nights sleep during that period, the problem stemmed from the location of the room which I suspect may have been above the kitchens,I accept that people need to do their work but the noise was evident throughout the night (intermittently) sleep wasn't easy.

Nice hotel in good location

Posted 16-Sep-2014
Pros: The hotel was new and clean.
Cons: The bathroom should have glass cups not plastic cups. Flowers in the garden room should be real not plastic. Breakfast cereals should not be in boxes
Location: Near good restaurants, shopping, close to water.
Wake up service was 20 minutes later than asked for. Staff was extremely quick to respond to bringing up new towels and pillows.

Charming Old Style 5 star hotel.

Posted 15-Sep-2014
Pros: See comments above
Cons: Loved the hotel the way it was. A better hair dryer in the room, but this is only a trivial thing.
Location: See comments above
Great location in the heart of historic Sorento. Easy walking to restaurants, shopping and to the waterfront. The hotel was wonderful, and well maintained. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel has a fine dining room as well as a great breakfast which was included in our room rate. One of the best features was the swimming pool located on their roof top. Great way to relax after a hectic day traveling around the city. Highly recommended.

Great hotel and great location.

This is a great first class hotel...room was large and luxurious with a huge bathroom (certainly not common for Italy). The hotel is a great location close to the beach, shops and restaurants.
