Sorrento - May half term
Lovely little hotel only 3 minutes walk from the centre of Sorrento. Friendly staff. Beautiful building with flowers, olive and lemon trees. Good, quiet, pool to cool off in with sunbathing area. Clean and comfortable room with A/C and view of the sea (although described as a city view!), No balcony, but seating areas in grounds outside. Only downside was bathroom was a little dated and shower had to be hand held as wall fixing was broken.

GREAT LOCATION AND BEAUTIFUL HOTEL
Amazing Customer service by front desk Ines. Beautiful setting. Great pool. Excellent location with restaurants and shopping although the site is set on a quiet area. Peaceful and so nice to eat breakfast in the gardens. Rooms are spacious, clean, stylish, and with awesome views. Our first choice when we return to Sorrento.

Superb centrally located hotel
Warm friendly small hotel. Clean rooms and beds changed frequently. Only a few rooms and only a couple of floors but excellent lift. Outside bathing areas and swimming pool. Spa underneath hotel. Good continental breakfast plus freshly cooked omelette or scrambled egg. All food eaten outside in large garden area.

Staff alone are super friendly and helpful! Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. The room we stayed in was huge and the A/C was definitely nice to have for us Canadians. The animal farm is great for kids! And having the two dogs was great as we are dog people and had left our fur baby in Canada. Location is prime, as a few steps out are shops/street markets that have pretty much anything you’ll need. Few important things to note: the hotel doesn’t have parking, so if you’ve rented a car, gps to Parcheggio Ulysse which is about 120m away, and you can haul your luggage easily from there. There’s also a laundromat nearby, that takes 5€ and 6€ for a load. Also close to pick up points for several tours. Only negative point is that the wifi is super slow and disconnects/stops sending a signal constantly. But at a place like this - you really wouldn’t want to be connected to the greater world that often anyway. Also nice to note: they have an elevator! In our opinion, it would be difficult to want to stay anywhere else - for the price, location, convenience, and friendliness of staff. We would definitely stay here again!

Really enjoyed our stay, staff were very friendly and helpful, beautiful location and fabulous architecture! Our only moan would be the bed it felt like two singles joined together, better mattresses would make it for us!

Disappointing...
On the face of it this hotel looks good from the pictures but I felt really let down by several aspects which was due in part to the lack of information given on the Expedia page prior to booking. Firstly there was a wedding party held during our stay which meant that loud music could be clearly heard in our room until 1am! Due to lack of sleep this effected our plans the next day. There is nothing on the Expedia page that says the property has a nightclub in the basement so be warned. Luckily there was only this one event during our stay but I don’t want to think how awful it would have been if there’d been others. The pool was closed and the outdoor furniture had been removed although again this wasn’t noted on the Expedia page at the time of booking. As we have two young children the idea of having a pool to use during our stay was appealing. Not to be unfortunately. The breakfast was very basic and also in our room the hot water ran out very quickly so we had to wait between showers before the four of us could use it separately. On the plus side the hotel is in a good location, and our room was a good size, clean, has nice decor and the staff were friendly. But even with those plus points I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Great location and room! Staff are super friendly. However, management need to improvement on wifi connection in the room and also bigger hot water broiler. Hot water only lasts less than 10 mins for each shower and takes a LONG time to generate for the next shower.

One of our worst experiences was the stay here
Not at all worth all that money you pay for this place. One of the worst experiences we had in Amalfi was our stay here. First the plus points, great location closer to the train station and the city center, huge rooms, great pool. Negatives include pathetic management team and the worst service. We dropped our bags in the morning and took a private tour to Amalfi beaches. Reached the hotel back at 10pm, tired and in desperate need for a good shower after a hot & humid day at the beach. Turned on the shower and there was no hot water. The front desk staff left by then but the manager and another guy (not sure if he is the owner) were still there. We reported the problem and they promptly came to check and acknowledged that the water heater was indeed not working. Instead of moving us to another empty room, the manager's first response was "skip the shower today and someone will look at it tomorrow ". When I told him calmly that I did not pay $270 a night for no reason and expect at least basic amenities from a hotel, instead of moving us to a different room, I can not believe that he grudgingly gave us the keys to the empty room next door to go and use the shower there. All the 4 of us ended up using the next room's shower that night. Next morning, instead of offering an apology, they hid from us and avoided us at our check out time. We waited and finally handed the keys to a maid cleaning the lobby.

Lovely hotel very central
Lovely hotel with beautiful garden, and extra bonus of a micro pig called Freda and a bunny rabbit running freely around garden, so cute, swimming pool was great and pool area very relaxing with free towels. Our one bed apartment was large with huge balcony, kitchenette was well equipped too. Would deffonetely stay there again when returning to Sorrento.

Lovely and quirky base near but not in the centre
Lovely spacious apartment with a big kitchen and balcony which suited us well with two teenagers. Grounds totally unique in Sorrento hard to describe but very Alice in Wonderland with bunnies, designer furniture and hammocks. We loved the vibe and the restaurant was nicely relaxed when you don't want too complicated. If you have a family I would recommend if you like the designer look and I like your space.

Great Location, Rooms and Outdoor setting
First time to Sorrento and this hotel could not have been more perfect. I felt like I was staying in a private villa with hugh spacious rooms and my room had a view of Capri out the window. The grounds were lush grass with bunny's running everywhere and great food served outside for dinner and lunch. Hotel location was off the main drag but close enough to walk thru town to the train station. Sarah an American girl works the morning shift and was helpful in English to guide me to Pompeii or other local sites. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Sorrento family vacation
We stayed at Artis Domus for three nights. Property is large and centrally located within walking distance of everything. Grounds are wonderful with fruit trees and bunnies running around. Nice balcony. Apartment was very large and exceeded expectations. Very little hot water and bathrooms in need of some repair, but found this to be common in Italy. Breakfast was not so good, but dinner at the Grille was excellent and would recommend. Much better experience than staying in a hotel. Would stay here again

Terrible. Loud party until 4 AM in basement of hotel. Staff was not willing to turn music down. Needless to say, we couldn't sleep. Never mentioned it to us when we checked in. Massimo will not retun a call or email about our stay. Not a welcoming place and I don't recommend it. Overpriced too. No breakfast aerved.

A beautiful setting with a garden Restaurant. My wife and I stayed 1 night and were very pleased at the courtesy extended by the hotel staff. The Restaurant served good food at reasonable prices. If we were to have a complaint, it would only be that the Restaurant staff were a bit indifferent during the 3 times we dined here.

Really unique
An amazing converted old house with luxurious apartments and fantastic relaxing gardens. Just at the end of the lovely lane of shops and restaurants off the main square, so a very short walk if you have a day or evening out. We had a 2 bedroom apartment - fully air conditioned with kitchen and washing machine. Garden was very relaxing - with a trampoline for the kids, seating and sunbathing beds, with bunnies hopping around. The best pizzas in town for only 5 or 6 Euros. Would really recommend this for families or romantic couples wanting something bigger and more unusual than a standard hotel. Many of the hotels were up the cliffs away from the town so this was great for location.

Beautiful unique hotel.
The hotel is like a strange villa. My family loved it. From the bunnies running around the grounds and trampoline outside, to the walk out balcony and purple walls and flower-tiled floor of our room. The location of the hotel is on the southern edge of the city, but still within the city proper. So walking to the shops and restaurants are easy, but it is a good walk from the train station. The only reason I did not rate the hotel a 5 is because when we arrived, the room I had reserved for accommodate my family had plumbing issues, so our family was split up into two rooms. The rooms were great and we were comped for breakfast, but not having the room we expected was a bummer.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms have mini kitchens and are equipped with a washing machine, a fridge, and air conditioning. The location is central to the town, and just a short distance away from the Marina Grande. The highlight of the stay was having cocktails on our huge balcony. Very clean and quiet hotel; beautiful rooms.

This was a great place to be for our 15 days in Sorrento.Just inside the old town and just a 15 minute walk from the Boat Habour and Train station where your travel from too the major attractions.The B&B gardens was beautiful where we ate several meals and relaxed after our days excurtions.If you are going to Sorrento you must stay here'

A lovely surprise
We are a family of 4. Stayed here in July 2014. Our room was actually an apartment and it was huge! I wish we had gotten to the hotel earlier in the day to really enjoy it. There is a lovely little garden restaurant, so charming, a great place to just sit and relax. If you arrive by car like we did, make sure you have a GPS! Parking is actually just down and across the street in an outdoor parking lot. The lot was full but the attendants managed to squeeze in a spot for us which we really appreciated and we got a cheaper rate because we stayed at the hotel. The area around is beautiful to walk, all the little shops and cafes. Reception of the hotel was very nice and as we arrived late, checking in was hassle free. The kind lady who helped us, took us up to the room to make sure we knew where everything was. This hotel was a very nice surprise and very close to the Sorrento port for getting the ferry to Capri. A 10 min taxi ride or if you like to walk, maybe 30 minutes and you are there.

Overall we were happy with our stay at Artus Domus. It is conveniently located in a quiet location just past the busy shopping streets. It has a beautiful garden/restaurant, with decent food. The garden is a nice place for relaxing/reading outside of mealtimes. Our room was large and clean. However, the hotel isn't really set up as a B&B and seems more oriented toward its self-catering apartments. Breakfast is minimal (coffee and a rather dry brioche) and while the young woman who checked us in and got our coffee one day was very nice and helpful, other staff working in the am acted as if it was way too much trouble to respond to our request for this skimpy breakfast. I'd definitely try to rent one of their self-catering units if that was available.

Beautiful Grounds - Clean - Great Location
The apartment was immaculate. We were a family of four and were comfortable. The beds are REALLY, REALLY hard. I would have given a 5 rating, for comfort if not for the beds. Nicely decorated. The location is fantastic. Convenient parking nearby - you do have to pay, once parked though, you can walk to cute shops and the city center.

Hidden Garden Oasis steps away from Sorrento Centr
Fabulous garden surrounds the compound which has a nice wall around it to keep the noise out but the main strip is just outside the walls. Huge room, very great rates, super clean, very friendly staff. Had dinner there one night and the prices were super reasonable. 8 blocks from he train station, definitely walkable. 20 min walk down some stairs to the Marina and waterfront. Our room had a sea view and it was just spectacular to have a view of the sea every morning! Modern elevator also.

The hotel grounds were beautiful, the rooms were spacious but the tile floor was dirty you couldn't see the dirt but our bare feet looked like we had been out in the dirt all day. The beds were extremely hard it was like sleeping on concrete. The air conditioning worked well. We got a confirmation that breakfast was included but we were told by the staff that it was not because we had a kitchen. The reception desk was not staffed often. There were long waits to check in and we left the keys on the desk when we checked out because no one was there to help.

Little Gem in the Heart of Sorrento
We were completely blown away by our stay at Artis Domus Relais! The garden was beautiful, the staff was friendly, and our room was spectacular. ]The room itself was adorable and clean, with purple and orange curtains on huge windows that overlooked the bay with Mt. Vesuvius in the distance. We couldn't believe how nice this place was for the price that we paid. It was one block from the noisier, crowded area, so it was easy to walk to the heart of the town while still being in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Sorrento. I wish we could go back!!

A pleasurable stay in a beautiful Villa / Hotel
The Artis Domus Relais is an absolute gorgeous period villa. The rooms are extremely spacious with everything you need. We also had a beautiful veranda that we enjoyed sitting out on during the evening. The hotel was exceptionally clean and a lot of effort has gone in to making your stay comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. The location is just at the end of the main shopping street which is pedestrianized so no bother with noise of traffic.

Great location basic Bed & Breakfast place
Perfekt location, but a little hard to find if you arrive by car. Do NOT drive all the way up to the bed and breakfast there is limited zone and a camera will catch you. If you arrive before five or six in the evening the staff will be at the reception and they can write an authorization request for you at the police to drive inside the zone else there is a parking space very near by (Parcheggio Ulysse), use that same price. I paid 25 euro per night to park “inside” the B&B ask at the reception. The staff were all vey nice and helpful. The room were very basic and the beds very hard, but I guess it’s the same most B&B. We stayed 2 nights.

The promised restaurant doesn’t exist
There’s no restaurant in this hotel. Despite their advertisement of a restaurant and room service there is nothing except an offer of a salad for lunch or a portion of ravioli if pre-ordered in the morning. Most of the staff speak little or no English and rely on inadequate Google translations for communication with guests. But the hotel itself is great and breakfast is good.

Tolles Zimmer, groß, sehr geschmackvoll, sehr sauber, gutes funktionierendes Bad. Schöne Terrasse. Draussen standen hochmoderne, barockartige , kalte Möbel überall, weiß, die den gesamten Stil des Palazzo störten und extrem unpassend waren. Design muß nicht provozieren, besonders, wenn Hotelgäste sich wohlfühlen sollen.

Charming hotel with central location
A small and charming hotel in classic style, newly modernised and located in central Sorrento. There is a fantastic garden with lemon trees and a peacock where the breakfast is served in the morning. We had an apartment with sea view to the Naples bay.

Smukke omgivelser, dårlig service.
Utrolig smukt og æstetisk, desværre var der en del støj fra poolområdet, hvor der blev afholdt adskillige fester til sent på aftenen. Receptionisten som kunne engelsk, var virkelig serviceminded, men resten af personalet var ikke særligt imødekommende og virkede til tider uinteresserede. Der er kun 5 lejligheder/værelser og der var primært fokus på udefrakommende kunder til restaurant og pool. Vores værelse havde ikke balkon eller terasse og vi kunne ikke få tørret vores tøj, selv om der var lovet vaskemaskine med mere ved køb. Stedet her kunne have været helt fantastisk, da omgivelserne er unikke, men servicen trækker gevaldigt ned. Morgenmaden var ikke prangende, men ok.

Vorzeitige Abreise
Lage und Räume des Hotels gut. Ilaria an der Reception war zuvorkommend. Frühstück eher dürftig, Bedienung uninteressiert. Im schönen Garten wurde in einem kleinen Zwinger mit Betonboden ein junger Hund gehalten - absolut nicht tiergerecht. Tagsüber wurde er völlig allein gelassen und in der Nacht jaulte, winselte und bellte er fast ununterbrochen. An Schlaf war nicht zu denken! Obwohl wir 5 Nächte bezahlt hatten, reisten wir nach 2 wieder ab. Lieber Geld verlieren als Tierquälerei unterstützen!
