All of the staff is super sweet. The inn is old and you can tell by the furnishings, but it was very clean. Beds were comfortable. The room price is a little higher than what I would've liked, but then again we did receive 2 breakfast vouchers to eat next door. The food was good and service was good there as well. We had a good nights sleep. Only a couple times did I hear people walking upstairs. That's normal tho. All in all no complaints and I'd probably stay here again. A part of me wants to give 4 stars, but I'll give 5 because the staff was great and the room did serve its purpose. I got to spend some time with my oldest son who lives in the area. :)
We choose this Hotel since it is in the Heart of Sonora and its price was good. However, if you are looking for a little Luxurious accommodation. this is not the place. Fairly The Hotel is quite outdated, but for the price its ok for just an overnighter.
This was a nice hotel close to downtown Sonora that was a backup plan for my preferred hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The rate was a bit high given the quality of the room and facility but acceptable overall.
The Rodeway Inn hotel in Sonora, CA is within walking distance to the historical downtown area. Unique shops, theaters …More
Look at the town, it's old...so is the Lodge. Yes the carpets need to be cleaned (wear shoes at all times) or your feet turn black; Yes the back of the hotel (weekly's?) is scary; Yes you can smoke (see the ashtrays) there; No they do not have a nutritional breakfast (carbs & sugars...not for kids, elderly, sick or diabetics) BUT where the hell can you get a 2 bed hotel room with a TV, Fridge, Microwave and Coffee Maker in Tuolumne County on a weekend for under $100....Only Sonora Gold Lodge Inn!!
Pocket Guide: Yosemite National Park Sonora Hotels
Named by miners from Sonora Mexico who settled here in 1848, the city of Sonora rests in the Sierra Nevada foothills, in the heart of California’s Gold Country. The city boasts the area’s largest historic downtown district, and hosts a variety of festivals throughout the year. Many of Sonora’s buildings date back to the 1800s, including the restored Opera Hall, built in 1885.
