“Not bad”

Stayed one night to catch an early flight from Bilbao airport. However, while the hotel is quite close to the airport in terms of proximity, because of the roads, the taxi fare was still 23 euros, more or less the same as if you were coming from the center of Bilbao. No real services at the hotel, restaurant/cafe was closed when we arrived at 9pm. Luckily I was able to have dinner and a drink a restaurant right outside from the hotel. WiFi also not included, which is rare in most hotels these days.

“Not impressed”

Paid over the odds for poor quality food. It was meant to be "dinner", but the options we chose were more like snacks. There were only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant, yet the chef could not produce our main courses together (my husband was served his platter of cold meats 20 mins after the rest of us, same with the dessert). Waitress very sweet but flustered at the inefficiencies of the kitchen, and sweetened us we half a bottle of red wine. On arrival, we needed to speak to Brittany Ferries, as we had heard our crossing was cancelled. The phone in our room did not work, so the (evening) receptionist told us we could go outside and use a pay-phone! In the end we used the phone in my parents-in-laws' room. The morning receptionist was helpful in drawing us a good map to get to the ferry port, which we appreciated, and the breakfast buffet was fresh, varied and well-presented.

“A Little hard to Find”

The hotel was comfortable. We particularly enjopyed the breakfast and the restaurant we had it in.

“Long taxi ride from airport”

The hotel was perfectly adequate in a functional, non-descript sense. However, I'd chosen it for its proximity to the airport. I stayed overnight after a late flight in and wanted time for a quick trip into Bilbao before returning to the airport late afternoon the next day. I think the airport was close but the road system meant a 20 minute taxi ride - the taxi journey from and to the airport cost me more than the overnight stay at the hotel. From the hotel, there was a half-hourly, day-time bus into the city centre but the only way back to the airport from the hotel, according to the hotel reception, was a taxi ride. In fact, there was a bus that went to the airport from a bus stop 1km from the hotel, which I could have caught - its usefulness would be limited though, as the bus was hourly on weekdays, two-hourly at weekends.

“late night stopover”

We were looking for a good value place to crash after arriving late into the airport, and this did the job. Not a good location for staying in Bilbao but we were off to San Seb early the next day so wasn't a problem

Hotel tranquilo cerca de Bilbao.

“Das Hotel liegt nahe am Flughafen, Bilbao ist aber mit EuskoTren in 10 Minuten zu erreichen.”

Jederzeit zu empfehlen, wer nich fünf Sterne sucht.
