“Great location”
Was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Convenient to the State Theatre and a few restaurants. Was in town for a show and it was wonderful to just simply cross the street and be in for the night. Rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Look forward to attending another show and will definitely stay again. My only complaint was that guests of the hotel shouldn't have to pay full price for the valet parking, $25.00 was a little steep to park overnight.
“Great luxury hotel in the center of New Brunswick”
Overall, I was very impressed with the room's size and cleanliness, as well as the amenities this hotel offers. There are also plenty of good restaurants, bars and cafes to chose from within a couple of blocks. A very large public parking lot is only a block away in case you don't want to have to wait/pay for the valet service.
“Will definitely go back!”
The only negative to this hotel was the $20 per day Valet parking or optional $15 per day self parking.
“Not too impressed”
I came into the Heldrich with high expectation based on their rates and words of mouth from the visitors overseas (who stayed there) whom I have had pleasure to work with at Rutgers. So when I saw a blob of popcorn on the floor when I walked into the room, I was not impressed. The towels and toiletries were only enough for one person although I specifically booked a room with two beds. The door is heavy, difficult to close, and the chain lock is broken (it's a chain without lock). I could hear doors opening/closing in the other rooms. These tiny details should be taken care of by a hotel with such high reputation asap. When I called the hotel earlier to ask about where to park my car, the guy bluntly said "we do not provide parking sir" and hung up on me. Perhaps they should train their staff better.
“excellent stay in New Brunswick”
Gym was disappointing for such a nice property
“Enjoyed my stay”
I really enjoyed my stay at the Heldrich Hotel! The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient. The room was very nice and clean and I loved the bed! It was so comfortable...I slept like a baby. I also really liked the artwork throughout the hotel. There were great photographs in the room and the lobby and hallways.
“Not impressed.”
Reserved "deluxe king" on expedia, was given 2 full size beds; when I went to tell them, I was told that reserving on expedia would not guarantee a king - which is not the answer the front desk should give - though they did put me in a king bed room. Paint was chipping on the ceiling in the bathroom, which is weird for a relatively new hotel, and there was no light in the shower (which was handicapped accessible in the room we were in). Overall I was unimpressed with the hotel. However, when staying in New Brunswick to see a show, the location can not be beat, as it is across the street from theater row and close to many good restaurants.
“Room service lacking”
Clean, but not as large as expected. Coffee supplies in double occupancy room were for 1 guest. Room service was a long wait with bad food. Disappointing since it was so pricey. Front desk did not want to hear about room service issues.
“Very Nice”
The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. The staff were very accomodating.
“insomia”
Beds not comfortable, no support.
