Staff really helpful, good choice on the menu. Unfortunately when checking in We weren’t on the booking list and receptionist had to login to Expedia to find are booking luckily The hotel had a room for us .
Lovely hotel friendly staff close to the beach Very clean and welcoming surroundings unfortunately we only stayed here for one night wish we stayed longer we had a meal in the bar Which was fantastic and very reasonably priced all the staff are friendly rooms are lovely we could only fault one thing The British weather . so we are going to come back and stay in the summer thanks for a fantastic night look forward to seeing you again
Small car park had no car spaces left on arrival, room was clean and well furnished. Only single glazed windows and our room faced the road so some noise. Bed comfy. Efficient and very friendly service. Had a good stay and would stay again.
Lesson one ! Don't try and check in during a very busy football match...
However... Once checked in very fast and efficient.
I never really had much contact with any staff... the place is more set up as a bar and restaurant, but the room had an info folder that told me all I needed to know.
The Room and bathroom were clean and a good size. Looked modern and no problems at all, mind you I never spent a lot of time there.
Although the bar was busy and outside, the room was very quiet. Great sound proofing.
Overall I would stay here again.. It has an early check out so you are aware, but good value for money and friendly and very easy.
Hotel was good, only one down side: ON site parking, only about 8 spaces and All full when we arrived at about 16:00hrs, We had to park about half a mile from the hotel on a back street.
Lovely place to stay only down point we were at the very top if stairs! Room was lovely but not the same as pic I booked but all ok would double check next time that the room was correct to pic
Really surprised as the outside view looks like a busy main road pub but when inside its modern, room was perfect, everything spotless well pleased will book again.
Considering our room was situated over the bar and at the front of the Hotel on the main road it was extremely quiet , the manager has kept the Hotel to a high standard and very welcoming . The food is delicious , breakfast kept us going all day ! unfortunately we could only stay one night but plan to return for longer .
Great location! Refurbished inside with great contemporary vibe. Room clean and comfortable. The third bed in our family room was in a seperate room so great space!
Hotel had three essentials - good food, parking & spotless accommodation. The staff were very friendly & helpful.
Its position was close to the town & the West Somerset Steam Railway. Also 2 mins from the sea.
The hotel has a strong sports interest with large screens in the reception area. Very popular with locals
& great atmosphere at weekends.
Very nice hotel above a club/pub, so if you're not having a drink I would imagine you'd need some earplugs, I however, was drinking so slept just fine. Room was really nice, clean, large and tidy. Definitely recommend.
Clean, comfortable well equipped hotel with newly refurbished rooms. Excellent shower. Reasonable bar menu for evening meal though suspect pizza had been cooked from frozen. All service good and friendly. Well cooked breakfast with good choice of options. Our room was on first floor, over the bar and rather noisy (beat of music) until closing time but not a problem if you retire after 23.00 hrs. Situated just off main street with on site car parking.
The hotel and bar was nice, and great to have free parking and wifi. Unfortunately I had a terrible night due to being at the top of the stairs where people in the bar came up to the toilets, and others would walk to and from their rooms. Thin walls meant I could hear everything the guest next door was doing, a big gap around the door and a permanently on landing light didn't help, and the window was so draghty it was blowing the curtains as if it was open. Bathroom door was not attached to its hinges properly and I found a previous guest's t shirt in the drawers. Perhaps some of the other rooms which are further away from the pub are better. As a female travelling alone I was uncomfortable (which began by checking in at a busy bar with more than a couple of inquisitive male drinkers watching intently).
Exceptional services by all staff, especially by the Receptionist, who I think was the Manager. This is a newly renovated hotel, comfortable, clean, well organised, and offering a good breakfast and food all day in a bright welcoming bar/restaurant. Perfect location for visiting Minehead with the bonus of free parking. Excellent value for money too.
Great hotel in a lovely tree-lined street location just off the sea-front. Good choice of breakfast. Room was lovely as we looked out into the street with the cafes and little shops but......the bed was abit hard. I think a new mattress would be useful
Good size family room and service good, breakfast ok . No lifts so hard work with kids buggy. Was hoping for quiet weekend but they played very loud music till 3am. Not the way go if they want customer satifaction. Disappointed.

Pleasant welcoming hotel
Ideal for beach, shops, buses, West Somerset Railway. Small hotel, but with adequate facilities for comfortable stay for couples and for families. Reasonable prices.
Great size 'suite' with 3 rooms - ideal for our stopover on way to holiday. Our 3 girls were very impressed with tv in each room and biscuits on the tea tray! All very clean and good quality furniture etc... Lovely breakfast with good choice. Downsides... not enough car parking and very soft bed...gave me back ache.
We stayed in the hotel for two nights with the kid.Everything was perfect, the only think is not entertainment for the kids, but I am really happy with this hotel and if I go back in Exmoor one day,it will be in this hotel!
we very much enjoyed our stay at stones the staff were very friendly the food was first class the room was very clean I would highly recommend this hotel
We stayed here after attending the Southport Weekender Festival. Great location just down the road. We couldn't check into our rooms until around 3:30pm as our room wasn't ready (even though check-in was at noon), this didn't bother us too much though as we had some food in their restaurant which was nice. Breakfast was also good - although service was a bit slow and I had to send the eggs back as they were hard boiled rather than poached! So a few little things to mention, apart from that the rooms were clean and comfy and the location was good. If I returned next year I would happily stay back at this hotel.
