The best resort in Soma Bay

Posted 11-Oct-2014
Great view and fun daily activities for both adults and kids. It's close to the cascades golf club and a huge seawater thalassotherapy and SPA.

Nice escape on the Red Sea

Posted 06-May-2013
Pros: The hotel's beach is great...a sunset walk on the bay is a must!!
Location: The hotel is around 50km off Hurghada in Soma bay.
Spent a great 5 days in this great hotel with my 9 years daughter. The hotel facilities are great: the pool, the spa, the beach, the room... You name it :) Food was excellent very delicious breakfast and diner buffets. Highly recommended place for a memorable stay.

Wonderful 4-day break. Didn't leave the area so no cultural ambitions this time - only relaxation and summer kick-off,

Good Hotel

Posted 31-Dec-2011 on Hotels.com
All in all this Hotel is very good, has good staff and is in a great loaction. However, as we ordered a room for 3 adults I would have expected 1 king size and one normal size bed. We got a king size bed and a emergency bed beside the standard bed. That was not Kempinski like

Nice hotel, shame about the low occupancy and prices!

Posted 18-May-2010
The hotel is fairly new and is understandably still trying to find it's character. We experienced a week with 13% occupancy which meant we felt quite lonely and very isolated. The cost of food and drinks in all bars and restaurants on the complex was exhorbitant - £10 for a sandwich at lunchtime and £8 for a 3/4 ltr of sparkling water! Good quality food but blimey! The Spa was completely empty for the whole week and was devoid of any atmosphere. The other spa was a taxi ride away at another hotel. We raised the question of prices and low occupancy with management but they completely failed to acknowledge any link. We would not go back due to the very high price - it does not represent good value for money.

Would happily return

Posted 30-Nov-2009
Its largely a positive experience and I would happily return. I list a few negatives for the purpose of balance. 1. Very expensive food and drinks. Our average dinner bill was £85 and a can of coke was pushing £4. 2. I paid extra for a seaview room. It was facing towards the beach side of the Sheraton and they were doing building work on the beach at the time so not the best. Overlooking the complex would have been better as its very nice. 3. All balconies are covered. I know this is common but we went to sit in the sun. 4. Spa is not at hotel but a shuttle bus away 5. Lazy river is not heated. Go out of season and you won't be using the lazy river
