We enjoyed our stay at St. Croix. The pool had warmish water usually it’s freezing in hotels the hot tub was refreshing and the view of the St. Croix lake was nice. There was a friendly, cozy bar and guests were free to enjoy the seating on the outdoor patio. The staff was friendly and efficient

Disappointing
Older facilities, pool and hut tub very old. Room was outdated. Creaky floors. Breakfast was very minimal, no juice, olny coffee and water. Very disappointing as i booked this due to the high rating on Hotels.com.
Nice by the lake , but rooms need updating and the old tires and junk & weeds need to be cleaned up out side , think with a little work & updates it could be a 3 star place
First stop of a 10 day motorcycle trip, staff was great as we just beat a massive, rain/thunder/hailstorm. Let us leave the cycle under the canopy until the storm blew through. Room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again when in the area!!
Off the path alternative to more urban venues.
We’ll stay there again!

Stay in Superior Instead
From the argument they had about giving us a "clean" room (the room was clean) to the condition of the room to the construction beginning early in the morning, we felt like we should have gone a few miles up the road to another establishment.

Handicapped accessible rooms aren’t actually accessible. There’s no seat in the shower and it’s not a walk in. How is one supposed to shower?

Hi there, our hotel was built prior to the newest ADA codes and is grandfathered in under the 1991 requirements. These require a wide doorway, handle bars by the toilet, and at minimum one public bathroom that is accessible, which the shower by our pool is. We apologize that the room was not up to your expectations.
An absolutely beautiful place to stay in the pristine North of Wisconsin. Looking out at Frozen Lake and the tall pines was very relaxing. I even saw a herd of deer crossing the lake. The staff was wonderful and the pool nice and warm.
Friendly front desk staff. Accommodating in every way. Highly recommended for those wanting to snowmobile in the area.

Comfortable bed, really slippery between parking and the building, but it was winter, always out of coffee in the AM. Front desk person has multiple duties, not always available.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are a small local business and as you can imagine adequate staffing can be an issue. Our lobby opens at 7am but many individuals who travel for work take coffee before then and with the other duties of front desk they might not catch that the coffee is low. We hope you still enjoyed your stay and will come again.
Property is lakeside and very scenic. Lake view rooms are quieter than the rooms at the front of the hotel that are adjacent to the parking lot. Freight train line is approximately 1/2 mile from hotel.

Beautiful Area, Rustic Building
I think my favorite thing about this room was the water pressure. However, they could do a lot to make it better quality. As someone who stays in hotels a lot, I appreciate rooms that have actual glasses and actual coffee cups when you have breakfast. The drinks at the hotel bar were a little pricey for the area but the bar overlooked the beautiful lake. One simple thing that turned me off in the room was the water in the ice bucket. Instead of getting ice, I wondered how long has that been there. The lady that waited on me in the bar was not interested at all in customer service. I think she just wanted me to leave.
Had 3-Grandsons with us,,and they love to fish and swim....Had both with this hotel. Free boats, kayaks, canoes, 3-4 fishing piers, and a very nice, clean pool with Jacuzzi. Our room accommodated us all....breakfast included, and a staff that would do anything to please us. Rate it 5-stars
We had a great view with a balcony on the lake... but the room was VERY noisy. We heard the bar, the front desk, the phone ringing, the people above us, outside, etc. There was no type of sound proofing. The hotel is definitely dated, but it was clean and comfortable and again, the view was great and we had a nice little balcony which was a bonus. The staff was friendly as well.
This place is fantastic! The rooms look much nicer than in the pictures, they must have been updated since they were taken. The rooms are steps from a beautiful lake and next to a small state park. Great pool, whirlpool, and sauna for cold weather. Friendly staff. Also only 30 minutes from the gorgeous Pattison State Park. I highly recommend staying here for a nice relaxing trip.
We paid through hotels.com but when we arrived they didnt have our reservation. But low and behold the staff was outstanding and gave us an even better room then we paid for. Gorgeous views of the lake. Staff was friendly and helpful.
We stayed here for my daughter's birthday and had a great time. Staff was courteous and helpful and the pool was plenty to keep them occupied.

St. Croix stay
There was no shower head in the shower. In the morning, coffee was left in the carafe from the night before. The hotel could use some major updating.

good place for a couple day get away
Like the location and the place seems really nice but a couple issues I'd like to mention. The PILLOWS in the rooms are awful. new ones are needed. (or bring your own) Not fond of allowing drinking in the whirlpool as this is against the law in Wisconsin. There is even a window between the pool area and the bar. At least they use plastic cups. Breakfast in the morning was on the lean side but good enough to hold till lunch. Showers need a little work. the shower heads must be water savers. The view and location is super great. Love the area and the park is in walking distance. beautiful walking. Would like to try again sometime in the summer. Our stay was in Oct.
Staff is unwelcomingredients and unprepared.stall bread and store bought powered donates for breakfast no milk. Stated happy hour was not over and the bartender said it was .

Lake View Room
Decent place. My room was right above the bar, which was quite fun if you're not keen on getting sleep.
I very quaint hotel right on the River. I got a room on the river side and that was probably the only nicest thing. The room was dirty and the bed was very old and uncomfortable.
