“Great hotel but not that centrally located”

The Hilton is a great hotel. It has a nice gym and a small pool and the lobby is very pretty. Our room was not ready when we arrived but eventually we got in and it was comfortable and clean. You must walk through a park to get to most of the good restaurants and stores and sights, so if that is important to you, you may want to book a different hotel.

“Certainly not a 5 star quality hotel”

Our stay at this hotel was a series of problems. We had to ask for the bathrobes and slippers. The shower door did not properly close, someone came to look at it and said that someone would be back in the morning. They never came. In a corner of the bathroom, there was noticeable mold. Our used towels left in the bathtub to be replaced were picked up by the maid and rehung for use. We stayed four nights, and the bed linen was not changed during the entire stay. The location was good for business, but not for leisure. Not good access to the city center and sightseeing attractions, or restuarants. One night the lobby was used for a reception, so it was impossible to visit the bar area and enjoy a drink and relaxation. The fitness center is small and off the lobby. Small iniside pool and the jacuzzi is located outside. The breakfast was limited and did not change over the course four days. For dinner the resturant offered a limited choice of food. One of the stores quoted a price on an item we were ready to purchase, and then when we were ready to pay, tripled the price. The concierege were young and inexperienced. They could not answer our questions about available operas or concerts, or trasportation to the city. We found the best way to get to town was by foot, or by cab. The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly. We do not recommend this property to our friends. We have stayed in numerous 5 star hotels and this is by far our worst experience.

Area recommendations

Since this property is located outside the city proper, we would recommend a hotel located within the city proper close to the main streets and tourist sites.

“best hotel in sofia”

this is by far the best hotel in sofia...the service is excellent and the rooms are very clean and large the breakfast buffet is amazing. do not have breakfast out as they do everything here and it is all fresh if you are going to drink go across the bridge to the radio cafe...the drinks are much cheaper there

Area recommendations

Sofia has a way to go as a tourist attraction, almost everyone is out to rip you off and the streets are not that safe at night. We stayed very central and there were 12 men travelling and that helped to make us safe. I would not take my wife here.

“Hilton Sofia: un muy buen hotel cerca del centro de Sofia”

El Hilton Sofia es un muy buen hotel, situado muy cerca del centro (se puede ir caminando a las principales atracciones), en una zona muy cercana a un gran parque de la ciudad y de un centro comercial. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y muy limpias. El baño también muy espacioso. Resultan muy cómodas. El único pero le pondría al precio del desayuno, que en comparación con los precios de la ciudad, resulta desorbitado. Es mejor cogerlo con el desayuno incluido.

Area recommendations

El centro de Sofía cuenta con multitud de edificios emblemáticos de la ciudad. Sofía es una ciudad que se puede visitar perfectamente en 1-2 días, debido a sus pequeñas dimensiones, por lo que es un destino perfecto para una escapada de fin de semana. Para conocer los alrededores de la ciudad, así como otras zonas del país, sí que es recomendable dedicarle más tiempo.

“Immer wieder in Hilton Sofia”

Hilton Sofia kenne ich seit 4 Jahren. Eine der besten Hotels in der Region. Service, Qualität, Freundlichkeit haben sich nicht geändert. Das Personal ist äußerst professionel und hilfreich. Was mich ein bisschen stört sind die hohen Preise für das Internet. Andere Hotels in Sofia bieten eine fast kostenlose Nutzung des Internetzuganges. Ich glaube, dass ein Problem der Hilton allgemein ist. Die selben hohen Preise merke ich in Bucharest, Budapest, Wien

Traveller's tip

Für einen langen Auftenthalt in Sofia es loht sich einen eigenen Fahrer zu besorgen. Wenn man viele Termine absolvieren muss ist es empfehlenswert um auch die Kosten zu reduzieren.
