Older property with need of updates. Had to ask for blankets for the bed. No ice machine on property. Toilet ran all the time. Coffee maker, but no cups. Site needs to pay more attention to details....

Do not recommend.
Room was very hot because nobody turned on any air, even though we had a reservation. Front desk wasnt sure we had a reservation, actually, and it took a while to check in. Beds are very old, but not uncomfortable. Sheets look clean, but very thin. Blankets are super thin and not super comfortable. Window unit took hours to cool down room, but it eventually was nice and cool. Carpet was stained, had holes, and was a bit dirty. WiFi not given at first - we had to go back to ask, and connection was spotty. No info in room. Pillows are small and go super flat. Only 2 per bed. In a 3 bed room, only 3 towels and they were thin and stiff. Bathroom door has huge weird line cut off at top and is super loud. Bathroom is TINY and includes no soaps, etc. Toilet is wobbly. Bathroom is painted badly and floor was dirty around all the edges - also, it gets super hot. TV worked fine to hook up to my laptop by their HDMI cable. There is NO BREAKFAST. I went to ask in the morning, and she said no and would not even let me into the tiny lobby. I had to pay $20 to check out 2 hours late, which was fine, but the guy on the phone had told me it was free. Had to use old trick of clip hangers to hold curtains closed. Hanging light is low and was easy to hit. Hanging towel rack inside bathroom fell apart multiple times. Water out of the sink was milky white. Phone not working at all.

I only slept there and left early a.m. Can't comment on much: didn't dine, shop, walk around, etc. Didn't even test the shower!

The property is undergoing some much needed renovations and there are signs that effort is being made to improve it. In room 20, deadbolt does not work. Coffee pot leaked all over.

This motel is quite possibly the worst on the entire planet. Not only was it dirty and run down, but is smelled bad. There were two televisions in the room, why? There was no light fixture haggling above the table, just a bulb. The carpets were worn out and soiled. And the curtains would not close properly. We were so disappointed that we just booked a room in another motel. Stay away from this no-tell motel! I will be seeking a refund from Expedia.

I was able to get a great night sleep the rooms definatly need a little work. but over all, I was very happy with my stay, the owners were very nice and accommodating as to me being able to protect my motorcycle under the walkway so that if there were any hail it wasn't damaged. I would stay here if i travel through this way again.

This is a nice place to stay. Owners were attentive and are making some improvements to the property. There was a Chinese restaurant nearby but you may need to search for other restaurants that are open.

Don’t stay here.
Where to start. I had to wait for someone to open the office to check in. The first key didn’t work and a guest had to help me with the second key. There were bird droppings all over the stairs to my room. A lot of bird droppings not just some. When I asked for ice the person said they didn’t have ice. She then went into the back office and brought me a clump of old ice. From where I don’t know. The room was clean but carpet was worn, smoke detector broken, refrigerator unplugged and smelled bad. I should have taken pictures. I stay in Socorro twice a year and thought I would try them out. Not again.

It was filthy rundown. Smoke detectors were removed. Tub had mold. Spider webs and dead insects in the room. The owner had no concern that a client was taken to the hospital in an ambulance!

Nice overnight
I enjoyed my overnight stay at the San Miguel Inn. The room was clean and quiet. The location is convenient. The room was a little dated and was missing a microwave but it did have a refrigerator. I had a nice chat with the owner the morning I left. The housekeepers all said good morning when they saw me. I will stay here again on my next visit to Socorro.

No Frills of the Worst Kind
This motel is not what it claims to be - there is no pool, there are not working laundry machines, there is no ice maker, our microwave did not work, and the tv had to be re-programmed every time it was turned on. There is rarely any front-desk presence and no sense of being welcomed to the property. The room itself WAS adequate, and the motel is indeed pet friendly. The worst part: when I arranged to speak personally with the owner about our disappointments - hoping to have a civil conversation and avoid posting a review - he was immediately defensive, confrontational and rude. Completely unpleasant and unprofessional. Terrible experience. Don't book!

I did not stay at this hotel. The room had a smell like sewer water when I entered the room. There was no top sheet on the bed, there was a mattress pad underneath with stains. The AC was in a hole in the wall and there were bugs around that enclosure. The property was not well lit. I did not feel comfortable staying there so I rented a room at Econo Lodge. I am a travel nurse who had just worked 12.5 hour shift and was too tired to haggle about it, but I would appreciate any refund. This room did not look like the picture on the advertisement

The sheets smelled clean. The room did not. It was just sort of dumpy. Cracks in the wall. There was a cigarette burn on the sheet. There was significant trash in the parking lot and outside the hotel room. We won't stay there again. I should have known: never buy the cheapest thing. Oh well, I guess I got my money's worth.

Extremely overpriced
Very dated room. AC didn't work. Walls and ceiling were paper thin. At least 30 years since last remodel. TV was at least 20 years old. Advertised free breakfast but there was none (citing Covid in September 2022). I paid over $100 for one night. Terrible value.

The nonsmoking room had clearly been smoked in. I’m allergic to gallons of air freshener. Air conditioning didn’t really work. I opened the door late at night as it was cooler outside than in the room. After 1 am, the toilet ran all night. I opened the tank to fix it, the tank was filled with black mold.

Its about what youd expect for a 50 dollar room. AC unit was as quiet as an idling kenworth, so i couldn't really use it. No coffee service in room. No pool. No breakfast.
